The RedHead Revealed (#2) By Alice Clayton

The Redhead Revealed (Redhead, #2)As their careers catch fire, Grace and Jack -- everyone’s favorite foul-mouthed, funny, and feisty couple -- find themselves on opposite coasts. Grace has landed in New York City, where she loves being onstage again, particularly because she’s playing a fabulous character in a musical written by her old college flame, Michael. Their rekindled friendship makes exploring the city that much more fun.

Wait, it’s just friendship, right?

Meanwhile, in L.A., Jack can scarcely keep up with the swirling throngs of women who track him everywhere he goes, the endless press appearances, and the ridiculous rules his manager, Holly, keeps concocting for him -- all part of the buildup to the release of Time, his steamy new film.

Thank goodness for phone sex.

But even when their schedules allow them to connect, Grace and Jack must keep their relationship off the radar and away from paparazzi cameras. Sure, the sex is sensational, but can this duo survive swirling rumors, the demands of their chosen professions, Grace’s raging internal battles, and a whopping nine-year age difference?

Tick-tock, the clock is ticking. Isn’t it?

Alice Clayton brings the second installment of a tale told with her magical mix of humor and heat, so cuddle up under the sheets and flip on the Golden Girls. Grace and Jack are at it again

Elena's Review:

Schmaltz.That's what she said......

Once again we're thrown in the mix of Grace and Jack's world. Full of fun, chaotic, nutty, smutty, sad, insanely funny,and....hmmmm...I know I mentioned smutty right? Lol! Whatever teasers us readers had in the first book, these characters are on the saddle full throttle, with any chance they get!

With Jack's career booming and becoming a huge star. Grace having her chance to fulfil her dreams since she was a girl. The whole story is crazy emotional, but the characters pull it off with their constant bickering and joking. You just sort of see what'ss happening only on the surface of their lives and not what's hidden underneath, till the dam bursts....

Grace and Jack's relationship is confusing, weird and not at all functional. Knowing each other for six months, having mind blogging smexin, then all of a sudden, they're in love? Yup! That's what she said...... Lol! But there is a reason for their shenanigans, first, their age difference, then, their constant reminder they are not to be seen with each other in public, dealing with each others pasts and present futures, hardly seeing each, dealing with the press, and the list just goes on and on.

But in the end when everything gets sorted out,it was more then just the two of them lusting with sex and boinking every chance they get. It was Love,Loyalty,Honesty ,Respect and Understanding. I'm glad everything got sorted out,now I'm a tad bit nervous as to why there's going to be a third book,I'm not sure I can deal with the whirlwind of Grace and Jack's lives again! I was left winded the second time around with book two,but the third? Oh.My.Word.... I'm a survivor with anything dysfunctional, but with Jack and Grace? I'm a lost cause and lost for words.... Cheers to many more Crazy causes my Jack and Grace!

Btw! It was truly a cute story :)

Grace's Thoughts:

When I want to read something funny and sexy, I turn to this author because she writes comedic erotica very well. I love The Redhead series so much! Grace and Jack are so funny, cute, and are just all over each other! I highly recommend you getting into this series now before the third book comes out. Read The Unidentified Redhead FIRST! I'm really looking forward to see what happens to Grace and Jack next!

Wallbanger by Alice Clayton

Wallbanger

Caroline Reynolds has a fantastic new apartment in San Francisco, a KitchenAid mixer, and no O (and we’re not talking Oprah here, folks). She has a flourishing design career, an office overlooking the bay, a killer zucchini bread recipe, and no O. She has Clive (the best cat ever), great friends, a great rack, and no O.

Adding insult to O-less, since her move, she has an oversexed neighbor with the loudest late-night wallbanging she’s ever heard. Each moan, spank, and–was that a meow?–punctuates the fact that not only is she losing sleep, she still has, yep, you guessed it, no O.

Enter Simon Parker. (No, really, Simon, please enter.) When the wallbanging threatens to literally bounce her out of bed, Caroline, clad in sexual frustration and a pink baby-doll nightie, confronts her heard-but-never-seen neighbor. Their late-night hallway encounter has, well, mixed results. Ahem. With walls this thin, the tension’s gonna be thick…

In her third novel, Alice Clayton returns to dish her trademark mix of silly and steamy. Banter, barbs, and strutting pussycats, plus the sexiest apple pie ever made, are dunked in a hot tub and set against the gorgeous San Francisco skyline in this hot and hilarious tale of exasperation at first sight.

Thessa's Review

Four Stars

Tis a sad, sad day when a girl doesn’t even know her own orgasm.

Oh Alice, how I’ve missed your humor. I was so freaking excited to get this book as an ARC. Alice is one of those can’t miss authors and to have an opportunity to read this ahead of time…**happy dance**

This book started off in classic Alice style with lots and lots of humor. The sexual innuendoes and smart ass whit was back in full force. Even after the first chapter, she had me smirking and giggling like a school girl. I knew I was in for quite a ride and she did not disappoint me.

Bad, rapid-fire sex and an ill-timed one-night stand had robbed me of my orgasm. She’d been on vacation for six month now. Six long months.

Poor, poor, Caroline. Can you just imagine? SIX MONTHS! And to top it all off, she has a very noisy neighbor. She just moved into a new apartment in San Francisco and her very first night in that apartment, she was greeted with “oh, Gods” and “Mmmm…Yeah, baby. Right there. Just like that…Don’t stop, don’t stop!” which was preceded in some serious spanking and wallbanging that resulted in painting to drop on her head. Oi vey This was just the beginning too. In addition to “Spanx”, her nickname to one of three of her neighbor’s harem of woman, she also gets to listen to“Purina’s” purring and “Giggler’s” giggling. I love  these nicknames, by the way... LMAO! So who is her mysterious neighbor?

“Why are you such a manwhoring asshole?” I asked, my face inches from his.
“Why are you such a cockblocking priss?” he asked, and when I opened my mouth to tell him exactly what I thought, the fucker kissed me.
Kissed me.

Meet Simon Parker, a.k.a. Wallbanger. This is Caroline’s very sexy and very sexually charged neighbor. He’s quite a looker and charmer. No wonder he has a harem of women. Simon and relationships are hard for a photographer like him. He travels a lot and knows the emotional toll it can take on a potential girlfriend. So why bother, right? So Simon is all about having his fill with willing and knowing women when he’s home from an assignment. Hence his “harem,” though he really hates that term. When they first met, it didn’t really count since Caroline chickened out. So it wasn’t until the second time when they were forced to really acknowledge each other. Sparks flew and the tension between the two was palpable.

Wallbanger v.s. Pink Nightie Girl

They form a truce of sorts, which leads them to become very good friends. The more they hang out, the more they seem to want more. Both have their reasons to keep things on a friendship level, but eventually they do form a relationship. Will Simon finally help Caroline bring back her O? God, let’s hope so for both her and our sakes.

I really enjoyed this book. I loved the H/h, their quirky friends and I just adored Clive, Caroline’s personality filled cat. You can definitely call Clive, the story’s main comic relief. Loved the humor and loved the chemistry. However, the one thing that really prevented me from giving it more stars is the huge amount of sexual frustration I felt. If I had balls, I would’ve been in blue ball hell. LOL. I was getting way too antsy; waiting for Simon to give Caroline her long lost O. Just when you think it might happen, you feel your heart racing and you’re almost there. Just a little more and oh, my God this could be it…then…nothing. Yea. Blue balls. I can laugh about it now, but man it sucked. LOL. Anyway, you just can’t go wrong with reading this. Alice Clayton’s humor and witty writing is always welcome in my book. Love this author and I will continue to support her work. I can’t wait to see what she has next.

The Unidentified Redhead by Alice Clayton

When Grace Sheridan returns to Los Angeles to become a working actor, it's a second shot at a life-long dream.  With some help from her best friend and agent, that dream could become a reality, but at thirty-three, has Grace missed her chance at the big time?  Will an unexpected sizzling romance with the entertainment industry's newest 'it' boy shine an uncomfortable spotlight on her life?

Rhonda's Review:

This book was lots of sexy fun!!

I wasn’t really sure what to expect going in to this book other than it being a contemporary romance.  I was in the mood for something light and Alice Clayton delivered, with this one.  Not only was it light, but the characters were so much fun, and witty.

At 33 yrs old, Grace Sheridan has returned to California for a second  attempt at her Hollywood dream.  She is living with her best friend since college, Holly, while her new home is being renovated.  I loved Holly, and the bantering that went on between she and Grace.   Grace is ready to concentrate on her career, not looking for a man, or relationship. That is until she meets the up and coming actor Jack Hamilton at a party one night.  At 24 yrs old, Jack Hamilton’s career is about to take off, and the attraction he feels toward Grace starts because she doesn’t have a clue who he is.  Then he finds out just how funny and smart she is.  Jack is pretty funny, smart and sexy too, add to that being more mature than most 24 yr old men,  Grace gets more than she bargained for.  She finds herself with some hang ups in regard to the age difference between jack and herself, but Jack squashes that every time.  Gotta love him for that!!

I love the chemistry between Jack and Grace.  They are so funny and sweet. And the sexual chemistry is off the charts!  All the characters in this book have a great sense of humor, and enjoyed them all.  Now what came as a surprise to me was the amount of sexual activity in this book.  Not complaining, I loved it!  But Jack and Grace about drove me crazy with all their sexual exploration of each other and never actually “doing the deed” until later in the book.  When it finally happened though it was so sweet, and then it turned HOT!!

I definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a light funny and sexy read.  As the author herself put it,
"I wanted to write something that I would get a kick out of reading. I don't normally enjoy romance novels, but I am a sucker for a interesting story with a little...ahem...heat? But I also crave the funny. Why not combine the two? Why not funny smut? Why not comedic erotica?"
