Obsessed By Lisa Sanchez

The victim of both a brutal attempted rape and now a serial stalking, Halley Davis is broken, and desperate to glue the shattered pieces of her life back together. Tormented by a psychopath and battling a heavy dose of anxiety, sex and dating are the last things on Halley’s anxiety-ridden mind. That is, until she meets the man who rescued her from the hands of a would-be rapist. With a body made for sin, a wicked, sexy tattoo and an aura that screams “badass,” her rescuer not only calms the storm of terror raging inside her mind, he ignites a passion within her she’s never known before.

Tired of using meaningless sex to drown out the horrors of his past, Nick Ackart has sworn off women. In fact, if women were classified as meat, his ass is Vegan. Despite his determination to remain unattached, Nick is unable to stay away from the emerald-eyed beauty he rescued from a sadistic pervert. Immersed in a tangled web of sexual desire and deep emotion he was certain was long dead, he vows to protect Halley from the monster hounding her, even though he stands to lose his heart in the process.

Grace's Review:

Lisa Sanchez shines in creating such likable characters who are so compatible with one another. Nick & Halley are both wounded souls who meet under harsh circumstances. He is sincere, sweet and sexy. She is vulnerable yet strong. They fall intensely for one another even though Nick is resistant to fall in love. Oh yeah, Halley is being stalked and Nick feels it's his job to protect her. Ms. Sanchez does a great job in creating a perfect balance of both tender and steamy-hot moments for Nick and Halley. There's also a nice amount of suspense that kept me guessing until the end.

Cursing Athena By (#1) By Lisa Sanchez

For Danika, the only thing worse than going commando while wearing a fugly, silver bodysuit, was dealing with her deadbeat, ex-husband James. Catcalls, unwanted groping and lecherous stares weren’t really her cup of tea either, but she’d endure all of it and more if her new job serving cocktails at Masquerade meant ridding herself of his mountain of debt. It was just a job, after all, and what choice did she have with James' creditors breathing down her neck? What she didn't bargain for, however, was falling heels-over-head in lust with a two-hundred-plus pound, shape-shifting immortal from Ancient Greece.

On a mission to take down a parasitic demon, Ty doesn't have time for distraction. Not even when that distraction could prove to be his possible lifemate in the form of sweet, innocent, yet sexy-as-hell Danika. But when the leech he’s hunting goes after the cocktail waitress, all bets are off. Unable to resist her siren call any longer, Ty surrenders himself to Danika, body and soul, treating them both to a night they'll never forget.

Grace's Review:

Great Zeus this is addictive!

Danika is having a really bad day. It gets even worse when she is late for her second job at the nightclub and the only outfit left is a skin-tight alien costume with a fugly mask. Oh, and why does she have to deal with a sleazy, pervy boss too? Ugh! Will her evening get worse when she finds herself drawn to the hot guy at table ten? She has no time to get involved with anyone at the moment, because she has to pay off her ex-husband's debt! She has to keep her priorities straight, right?

Tydeus of Calydon, or Ty for short, was just doing his job when he finds himself at this particular nightclub. Who is this chic with all the right curves in this alien costume? He cannot be distracted from what he is there to do! A warrior of the goddess Athena, he is sent to hunt down a demon on a killing spree. He can't understand this strong need to protect this woman! Can he control his inner beast?

Freakin' HOT!!! For being a novella, book #1 of the Order of Seven series packs a lot of punch! It is funny, and I love this paranormal world with a Greek mythology twist Sanchez has created. Read it and find out why the title is so appropriate for the story.

Fans of The Black Dagger Brotherhood will enjoy this one for sure! I'm excitedly waiting for the next one!

Lisa Sanchez Guest Spot

Faythe Reclaimed Dream Cast

First off, I’d like to thank Sam, E and R’s Awesomeness for letting me hang out on their blog today. I’m feeling totes special and all kinds of fuzzy!

I don’t know about you, but Dream Cast posts are some of my favorite to read. I love reading about which actor/actress authors envision playing their beloved characters. On the flip side, I also love discovering who readers dream of when reading my books. So much fun!

With this in mind, I though it would be fun to give you a sneak peak into a few of the famous people I think of when I picture the characters from Faythe Reclaimed in my mind. Hope you enjoy!

My choice for Taylor is actress Shelly Hennig. I’m a huge fan of The Secret Circle and have always thought the character Diana was beautiful. She’s not as quirky and ditzy (on the show) as Taylor, but she’s a good match for how I envision her in my head.

Whoa, baby! They don’t come much hotter than Joe Manganiello. Gabriel Castillo is a smokin’ hot Latin warlock. He’s tough, brooding and sports a deliciously ripped body. Joe has these qualities in spades, and I think he’d make a great Gabriel. Rawr!!!

Prudence Lovegaurd is Faythe/Taylor’s closest friend in Salem Village. She’s a beautiful girl––both inside, and out–– and has an innocent quality, I believe, actress Amanda Seyfried personifies beautifully. I can totally picture her in pilgrim garb with her big beautiful eyes shining beneath a white bonnet. Amanda is hands down my favorite choice for Prue.

Thanks again for letting me share with you today. Can’t wait to hear who you all think of when you read Faythe Reclaimed. Take care!

Blurb:

Running through a strange forest with a bloodthirsty demon hot on her heels wasn’t Taylor’s idea of a rockin’ evening. Then again, neither was soaring backward through time and space. Time travel chafed and left a rank, nasty aftertaste. So, when she finds herself floundering amidst a sea of Commandment-loving holy rollers who fling accusations of witchcraft and bedevilment like hotcakes in a diner, finding her way home jumps to the top of her to do list. Too bad she can’t remember who she is or where she came from. And if that wasn’t bad enough, Taylor realizes she’s fallen for Gabriel, the mysterious Latin warlock who came to her rescue.

Battling an identity crisis and lost in a time that’s not her own, Taylor is determined to find her way back to twenty-first century Hanaford Park. But first, she and Gabriel must work together to uncover the dark scourge lurking in the shadows of Salem Village, and in doing so, save their lives, and the lives of countless innocents from a lethal date with the hangman’s noose.

Grace's Review:

Bewitching, Dark, Smexy!

If you're a fan of the Hanaford Park series by Lisa Sanchez, then Faythe Reclaimed is a MUST READ!!! Seriously! I'm so glad I read Pleasures Untold right before digging into this one, because I don't know if I could have waited all these months to find out what happened to Gabriel and Taylor!

This sequel begins right where we last see these two at the end of Pleasures Untold. The story is written from both their POVs. I'm so glad it's done this way, since a lot goes on when Taylor is thrown back through time and lands smack dab in a forest outside Salem Village, Massachusetts in 1692, the time and place of the Salem witch trials. Gabriel, a Latin warlock, has no choice but to go back in time, too, but suffers the painful consequences of doing so.

Sanchez cleverly incorporates from Greek mythology the Moirai, or The Fates, who warn Gabriel that he cannot change Taylor's fate. He is also plagued by a harsh curse placed upon him by someone in his past. A curse designed to rip his soul mate away from him and put her through hell inevitably causing each of them great pain. Do you think either of these things keeps him from trying to save Taylor? No way! Gabriel is willing to accept whatever punishment The Fates have in store for him.

Taylor has her own set of problems, too. She can't remember who she is or where she came from...and wonders why everyone is wearing ugly Pilgrim outfits. She immediately observes that the villagers are quick to judge and accuse. So when they think she is an apprentice named Faythe Ellwood, she agrees with them just to stay on their good side, even though she senses that is not her true identity. “Faythe” meets and feels a familiar connection to a young Gabriel. The villagers are already wary of the presence of both Faythe and Gabriel, so when accusations of witchcraft and bedevilment start flying, all hell breaks loose! Did I mention that someone is conjuring up demons as well? They have to deal with them too!

Faythe Reclaimed is darker, has more angst from the previous books, and the demons are bigger and scarier! What captivated me the most was the perseverance and strength maintained by the two central characters. Gabriel and Taylor both go through immense physical and emotional pain and sacrifice a lot to be together. Sanchez doesn't hold back in this department at all. She really puts both characters through the ringer, their anguish raw and descriptive. Even with all that, the author is able to keep the wit and snark I've enjoyed throughout the series. Imagine Taylor cursing “beeyotch” in the 17th century...yeah that doesn't hold well for her at all! Sanchez also spikes up the heat level in this one. All I'll say is that a certain Latin warlock sure does like warm maple syrup! I'm going to giggle every time I pour that stuff on anything. Mmmm!

So does Gabriel's curse get broken? Does our hero and heroine make it back to the 21st century? Will Taylor ever get to wear skinny jeans again? Read it and find out! I laughed, cried, and bit my nails to their nubby ends! I'm excited for anyone who reads Faythe Reclaimed, because Sanchez has truly written a special treat for her readers. Well deserving of 5 stars and a nice place on my favorites shelf! Releases May 17, 2012.

Pleasures Untold (Hanafird park #2) By Lisa Sanchez

Hell hath no fury like a witch done wrong. Pissed off and packing an arsenal of witchy mojo, Martha is on the warpath. Determined to avenge the murder of her mother and grandmother, her mission is simple: kill every vampire, demon and underworld bastard she comes across, because one of those hell beasts might be the monster that stole her childhood from her. But when a sexy Latin vamp literally falls from the sky, saving her from becoming an undead Happy Meal, she has no choice but to reassess everything she thinks she knows.

Xan is an anomaly --a vampire born, not turned. A powerful warlock who walks in daylight, Xan spends his days, and nights, watching over Martha, protecting her from Lucian, the blood-sucking monstrosity whose sole mission in death is to drain her dry. Undeniable attraction and the promise of pleasures untold draw the two lovers into a frustrating dance of one step forward, two steps back. When Lucian throws down a deadly ultimatum, Martha is forced to choose between relying on her own mystical woo woo to save the lives of her stolen friends or succumbing to the lure of dark, voodoo magic. Xan and Martha must work together to save those closest to her and put an end to Lucian's reign of terror before it's too late.

Grace's Review:

Pleasures Untold is a FANTASTIC sequel to Eve of Samhain of the Hanaford Park series!

In this installment, we get to find out more about Martha, who was introduced in the first book. She's a witch who is hell bent on completing a self-imposed mission to destroy every creature that stands in her path in hopes of finding and killing Lucian, the vampire who murdered her mother and grandmother. Her life is turned upside down when she meets Xan. Martha is trying to figure out who or what Xan is, since she can't sense any evil in him. Xan is not the usual vampire Martha frequently runs into in her daily life, and he has his own secrets too.

I enjoyed reading Eve of Samhain, but I loved Pleasures Untold even more! Martha is a strong heroine. She's snarky, likeable, a badass and watches out for her friends, Taylor and Jessica. Xan is a sexy Latin vampire with a hot bod who whispers loving phrases in one moment and then curses in Spanish in the next breath, LOL! Xan and Martha had great chemistry together too! I loved how they helped each other out in certain situations.

If you're not familiar with Ms. Sanchez's work, her writing is witty, humorous and sarcastic. There were moments that had me laughing so hard I spit out my coffee! One of my favorite moments was when Taylor and Jessica, who are Grey's Anatomy fans, were trying to come up for a nickname for Xan:

“McVampy. He's smoking hot, and he's got a delicious bite to him. He's better than McDreamy and McSteamy rolled together!”

So if you liked the first book, you will definitely love this one! Even if Eve of Samhain was not your cup of tea, please give Pleasures Untold a try anyway. I found the storyline and the dynamic between the characters more interesting. It was definitely an entertaining read. Plus, the story sets it up nicely to go into the 3rd book, Faythe Reclaimed, which is Taylor and Gabriel's story. Gabriel is Xan's friend, and we get to know him a little in this one.
