Rough Rider (#4) By Larissa Ione

Rogue Rider (Lords of Deliverance, #4)
They're here.

They ride.

The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse.

Born of a match between good and evil, four siblings stand between hell's minions and everything they want to destroy. They are the Lords of Deliverance, and they have the power to ward off Doomsday . . . or let it ride . . .

ROGUE RIDER

Jillian Cardiff came to this remote mountain town to forget the demon attack that almost killed her. Instead, she rescues-and falls for-a gorgeous stranger who has no memory of anything other than his name. Handsome, charming, and protective, Reseph seems like the kind of man whom Jillian can trust. But with hints of a troubling history of his own, he's also the kind of man who can be very dangerous . . .

Reseph may not know why he mysteriously appeared in Jillian's life, but he knows he wants to stay. Yet when Jillian's neighbors are killed, and demon hunters arrive on the scene, Reseph fears that he's putting Jillian in danger. And once it's revealed that Reseph is also Pestilence, the Horseman responsible for ravaging the world, he and Jillian must face the greatest challenge of all: Can they forget the horrors of a chilling past to save the future they both desire?

Elena's Review:

My thoughts......the whole novel was wickedly awesome! When I learned the story was on Reseph,I didn't have to guess it would be the best book in the series. I knew it would be the best!

The story starts right where it left off in the previous book, with Reseph lying flat out in a wintry storm, nekkid and no memory;thanks to Reaver. No complaints on my end,the images are never ending :P

The plot switches gears, from bad to worse.Reaver buys time for Reseph by taking his memory for a short time and planting him in the human realm until he is needed to fulfill a prophecy. Many think Pestilence/Reseph is dead, but word gets around quickly, and although Reseph's evil side was brought to life when he was Pestilence, his demon side isn't dead yet. And they're are people willing to keep him that way. And others who would prefer him dead....... Whew! Stand-by,if you started the series and haven't finished yet,or reached this novel, prepare yourselves, you have a load of suspense coming your way! There's so much more to the story,I can go on forever, but I won't bore you. LOL! I'll just say, you're missing out,and its worth every minute that ticks by. You won't be disappointed.

On the other note,I must say,Jillian-the heroine is badass. She went in open-minded,loving and adoring Reseph for the man he is,and still stands by him even after his memories and secrets are revealed. Loved her to smitherins! He deserved her just as much as she deserved him :)

I know this series is far from over,I can't wait for the next installment!

Lethal Rider (#3) By Larissa Ione

They're here. They ride. The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse.

Born of a match between good and evil, four siblings stand between hell's minions and everything they want to destroy. They are the Lords of Deliverance, and they have the power to ward off Doomsday...or let it ride...

LETHAL RIDER

Thanatos, the most deadly Horseman of the Apocalypse, has endured thousands of years of celibacy to prevent the end of days. But just one night with the wickedly sexy Aegis Guardian, Regan Cooper, shatters centuries of resolve. Yet their passion comes with a price. And Thanatos must face a truth more terrifying than an apocalypse-he's about to become a father.

Demon-slayer Regan Cooper never imagined herself the maternal type, but with the fate of the world hanging in the balance she had no choice but to seduce Thanatos and bear his child. Now, as the final battle draws closer and his rage at being betrayed is overshadowed by an undeniable passion for the mother of his child, Thanatos has a life-shattering realization: To save the world, he must sacrifice the only thing he's ever wanted-a family.

Sam's review:

This is the lucky third book in the Lords of Deliverance series and it was better than what I expected * sigh*. This book really impressed me and exceeded all my expectation that I had on the book.

Last time we saw Thanatos he was being kept immobile after being betrayed by Regan into having sex with him to get her pregnant. Thanatos has been in his very own kind of hell now for 8 months being unable to move while being constantly paralyzed with Hell Hound Salvia. He doesn’t realize Regan is even pregnant, his only thoughts are to free himself and take revenge out on Regan for what she stole from him.
rough his head? A child is something Than never thought he could have and to now have a son growing inside

Thanatos once freed, finds Regan only to find out she is Pregnant. Can you only imagine the thoughts that must have gone th
of the woman he came to kill – and to make matters even juicer, his baby is his agimortus. Than has to very quickly change his strategy and realizes he must do anything and everything in his power to keep this baby and Regan safe.

Straight up – I loved Than. He has to deal with waayyy more than his siblings. He is every bit the epitome of death and you see this through his anger and rages that he goes through. And now he can be a sensual, sexual man that just turns you to jelly in your arm chair. He is a very strong minded hero that was not a letdown. I think the fact that he was basically virgin in this book just made his character oh that so much more appealing. But for a novice, he had as many tricks up his sleeve as an experienced Christian Grey.

There are a lot of negatives for Regan’s character being voiced by reviewer. Myself? I don’t particularly have a problem with her. I understand that she originally deceived Than and got him into bed yadda yadda yadda, but she has paid her penance and she understands that what she did was wrong. Let’s move on people and appreciate the woman she is now. I thought together her and Than rocked. Both her and Than were some wicked bad asses and Regan really stood up and defended herself well for a pregnant chic.

This book was kick arse, hot and I kept it wanting to go forever. I cannot wait for Rogue Rider. There is a little sneak peak in the end on this book and WOW...talk about teasers. Roseph has intrigued me from day dot and I cannot wait for this book to arrive!

Immortal Rider - Larissa Ione

Sexy, powerful, and immortal, Limos is on a crash course with destiny. She’s been marked as Satan’s bride and her jealous fiance wants her all to himself. The only way this Horseman can keep herself—and everyone else—safe is to keep her distance. But not even Limos can save herself from the secrets she’s kept . . . or resist the seductive allure of one very brave human.

Arik Wagner knows the saying “love hurts” better than most, yet he never thought stealing a kiss from Limos would land him in Hell. Literally. It takes all his military training to survive the demon torture, but once he’s topside, Arik realizes that the agony has just begun. With the Apocalypse looming and Satan demanding his bride, will Arik and Limos surrender to the desire smoldering between them? Or will giving in to their passion unleash hell on earth?

What a ride! My head is still spinning from this book, in a good way. I loved Immortal Rider equally as much as I loved Eternal Rider. These four horseman/woman will get your panties tide in a knot and tingly in all the right places.  The book has the perfect amount of romance, fantastic action and so many scheming plots your won’t know which way is which.

I absolutely love Larissa Ione and in Immortal Rider she has lived up to her reputation. In this book we get to have Arik get his HEA. I have swooned like many others for Arik since his days in the Demonica series. Add in a wicked Heroine, Limos – who I’m in such awe of, when I grow up I want to be just like her - and you have the perfect recipe for a perfect book.

The couple have to deal with ALOT of sh*t to be together to be quite honest, and both have alot of secrets that are revealed that could potentially ruin everything. The two have fantastic chemistry but who got me real tingly was Than and Regan, holly smokes! Talk about HAWT! I’m not getting into that any more than that because it’s a major spoiler – but wow! I want that next book NOW!

All in the entire story was written perfectly. I love all the characters even the bad guys. This series in going to be one to rival the ages and if you haven’t read this series yet – go add it now! I cannot wait for the next book!

Eternal Rider - Larissa Ione

Just a quick note to thank my girl, Elena who went to the trouble of searching and hunting down my lost Eternal Rider review. As a lot of you may or may not know, us girls here originally from another blog. Due to unforeseen circumstances that blog dissolved rapidly and as a result I lost over 84 reviews that I had not backed up. Elena found them floating in cyber space and snatched this one up for me and I am eternally grateful. Love ya girl!
So I thought before the next Lords of Deliverance novel is released in December I would show you all how much I loved the first in the series.

Eternal Rider (Lords of Deliverance, #1)They are here. They ride. The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse.
His name is Ares, and the fate of mankind rests on his powerful shoulders. If he falls to the forces of evil, the world falls too. As one of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, he is far stronger than any mortal, but even he cannot fight his destiny forever. Not when his own brother plots against him.
Yet there is one last hope. Gifted in a way other humans can't-or won't-understand, Cara Thornhart is the key to both this Horseman's safety and his doom. But involving Cara will prove treacherous, even beyond the maddening, dangerous desire that seizes them the moment they meet. For staving off eternal darkness could have a staggering cost: Cara's life.

They are here. They ride. The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse.

Now this is what I’m talkin’bout! What a ride! Lord of Deliverance is set in the same amazing world as Ms. Iones Demonica series. It’s fantastic if you have read the before mentioned series because most of the past characters make an appearance and we get sneak updates into their lives. The mythology is all the same, the rules are all the same – but here we are introduced to the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse – doesn't it just sound daunting? –

I for one have never really had an interest in this tale. But I can tell just from reading that Ms. Ione has put her on Demonica spin on it. And tell you me – it is awesome.

In Eternal Rider we meet Ares who is the second Horseman. He and his brothers and surprisingly, sister – have been cursed to carry around the seals of Armageddon. When these seals break the horseman revert to the evil nature. Ares aka WAR. If you read Sin Undone you would have witnessed the first seal breaking. Now that their brother’s seal has broken, turning him into Pestilence, he is hell bent on finding out how and breaking his sibling’s seals also. Ares seal is in the form of the lovely and delicious, Cara. Of course she is a human. When Ares seal breaks – Armageddon begins...da da da dum.....

Like above said, Cara is a human – but with the special ability to be able to heal animals. This skill is what has landed her hell deep I’m the underworld. Cara was lumped with a hell hound and after using her ability to save the pup he bound himself to her – thus ultimately leading her to becoming the key in Ares downfall.

Now onto the romance – oh and what a romance. They fight, they bicker, they pick and they LOVE it! Cara was a perfect match for Ares. They complimented each other perfectly. The sex scenes were um.......SMOKIN! There is a lot of clawing and biting, but *fans self* it was vurryyy nice.

Ione has created so much depth to her stories and put so much effort into creating her world. I never thought I would have been interested in reading a series about men riding horses, but I have been gob smacked, because I’m certain that there was no way she could have made this book ANY better.

I was sitting on the edge right to the end thinking – ‘there is no way she can make this all work out’ – but she did it like the genius that she is. I am quivering with excitement for the release of the next Horseman book. One down, three to go!
