Willow Springs (#5) By Toni Blake

Amy Bright might be the best matchmaker in Destiny, Ohio, but she's desperately shy when it comes to her own love life—and helpless when it comes to Logan Whitaker, the best friend whom she's head-over-heels in love with. So Amy decides to become Logan's secret admirer, sending him sensual love letters steamy enough to unseal their own envelopes. One letter leads to another, one thing leads to another, and then comes an unplanned kiss…

Overcoming a tragedy from his life as a firefighter, Logan needs a friend. Thank goodness for Amy. But when a woman from Logan's past resurfaces right as some anonymous letters send Logan's pulse hammering, suddenly he doesn't know what he needs—a reliable friend, or a passionate lover? One smoking-hot kiss could change everything…but will it ruin a one-of-a-kind friendship, or show Logan and Amy that they've already found everything they need, right here in Destiny?

Sam's Review:

Wow,can't believe I was thrown straight back into the little country town of Destiny Falls. And it felt so right, as it does every time I read a Destiny novel. I'm never let down and I wasn't with this one either.

This time we are sharing the story of Amy, owner of Under The Covers book store, renowned cat lover and town match maker. Amy has watched everyone in town find and fall in love, and slowly but surly all marry off until now it seems that she is the last one left. But she doesn't mind, she is happy upbeat Amy and everything is alway perky. That is until one afternoon Logan Whitaker,Amy's longtime best friend decides to half drunkingly kiss her and show her what's she has been missing.

Amy never realized that she felt anything for Logan other than a long time friendship. The two have been best friends since they were babies and Amy has spent most of their adult lives setting Logan up with other women, so when she discovers that she herself is in love with Logan she decides to ( with the encouragement from her friends) to take action. But what happens when a blast from the past arrives in town and throws a spanner into the works?

This story was great, I read it in two days and for me that must mean something because I haven't read a book that fast for a freaking long time. The story line was very captivating but there are parts of the books, mainly relating the to the characters that really got on my nerve. Firstly, Amy - she was so frustrating and down on her self constantly. Always criticizing herself and the way she looked and how she could never compete with anyone for Logan's affections. Argh!!! The woman was constantly praised for being pretty, but she just couldn't get over the self loathing. Then Logan and his inability to have any brain in his head what so ever when it came to doing the right thing at the right time.

If I could change one thing it would simply be that the two didn't finally find themselves until exactly right at the end of the book. It took to long for Logan to come around and to long for Amy to stand up and to stop being a pushover.

A new character was introduced into the series and I'm hoping and thinking that there will be a book in the future for this character and I'm looking forward to reading and seeing who she will be matched up with.

Overall loved the book, loved dropping in old characters and loved being back in Destiny Falls.

Holly Lane (Destiny #4) - Toni Blake

The weather outside is frightful, but kisses by the fire are so delightful . . . Sue Ann Simpkins is working hard to rebuild her life and find some holiday spirit. A weekend away from Destiny in a cabin on nearby Bear Lake seems like the perfect Christmas gift to herself—until her ex’s best friend, Adam Becker, shows up at the door, claiming the cabin is his! And if that’s not trouble enough, how had she never noticed how gorgeous he was? Alone for the holidays and forced to play a reindeer at the local department store, Adam’s been feeling rather Scrooge-ish himself. But finding the smart, sexy woman he’s admired since elementary school waiting in the house he rented is helping to brighten his humbug mood. And when a sudden snowstorm strands them together in very close quarters, leading to one very hot night together, Adam soon realizes that what he really wants for Christmas is a second chance at love. Now all he has to do is convince Sue Ann . . .

This was a pretty darn good read, if I do say so myself. I loved coming back to the small town of Destiny once again where it just seems that everything is peachy. I didn’t actually realize that Sue Ann was Adams heroine until I started reading. Sue Ann and Jeff in the past novels have been (as described in the book) the ‘perfect’ couple. But it just shows how quickly one’s life can go from peachy to ...well...........shit.

Both Adam and Sue Ann go into this new romance with huge pasts behind them and both having kids. Once more, I’m not that huge a fan of romance when kids are involved. I mean kids are the biggest romance killer around. But Holly Lane was done pretty tastefully. And most of the romance took place without kids around – the beauty of divorce, right?

Adam is perfect for Sue Ann, and I’m glad thru all the ups and downs in the book that he proved himself to be exactly that in the end.  The two were pretty hot together and I have the sexiest image in my head of what Adam would look like....mmmm....scrummy! I just love a hot romance where two people are locked in a cabin with no escape and the inevitable is going to happen – inevitable being, smoking hot sex by the fire....raaaarwwww.

Once again a great addition to the Destiny series, so far each story line has been different and refreshing. I’m hanging to get Amy’s story.  I’d hate to think that she will end up as the crazy old cat lady.

Highly recommend this entire series, but would suggest reading it from the start.

Sugar Creek - Toni Blake

Welcome to Destiny, Ohio—where two families have been at odds as long as anyone in town can remember. Rachel Farris returned to her childhood home with one mission in mind: get Mike Romo out of her family's apple orchard business and out of their lives. But hard-nosed and totally hot Mike, who happens to be the law in Destiny, is convinced the Farris clan stole the land from his family fifty years ago and he's not backing down. Even when shapely trouble shows up in a pair of designer blue jeans. However, neither the hunky cop nor the sexy prodigal hometown girl can anticipate the electricity that heats things up whenever they're together—adding new sizzle to an ongoing feud that's raged for generations, and soon putting both their hearts at risk.

Best Book In This Series! Whoo Hoo!

It's a love/hate relationship between Rachel Farris and Mike Romo.

I loved the Hot Bad Boy Snooty Cop from the previous book One Reckless Summer but Mike was just sooooo much hotter arrogant and everything nice in this book...I LOVED! I LOVED IT,I LOVED IT! Lolz!

As for Rachel,I Loved her just the same. Her attitude, bad behavior and smart potty mouth kept me on my toes.A woman that's not afraid to back mouth a cop and tells it like it is. That's my kinda Heroine!

Oh! Let me not forget Edna,Rachel's grandmother;another character in this novel that I loved! She is funny, intelligent and all full of secrets!

Well for starters here's just a small glimpse of what the books is about. Edna Rachel's grandmother calls and asks her for a favor to help harvest apples from her Apple Orchid business for their fall festival. In which that business is what started a family feud between Rachel & Mike's family "The Ferris & Romo's" for over 50 years. Looks Like Grandma Edna Ferris & Giovanni Romo (Mike's grandfather) were hot for one another back in the days. Until Giovanni decides to be the bad boy that he is & Edna acts out and takes back the farm that Giovanni had given to her as a promise to her that he would come back and marry her. That's where all the drama and family feud begins.Nothing ever turns out the way we expect it to be. I didn't feel bad for Giovanni at all,he deserved being treated that way after the things he did.

Anywhoo....Back on topic here.....Mike and Rachel obviously have an attraction between one another. Really to the point where I can feel the hot steamy tension between the two.Goodness! The whole family feud scenerio doesn't help neither, their bickering, and teasing clashed the entire time in this novel. So I was so surprised when they warm up to each other and talk about their pasts and present fears/problems. I would never have thought these too could actually get a long and fall in love. I guess anythings possible.

I really loved this novel & hope to enjoy the next book the same, although I don't think anyone can fight off my attraction and liking for Mike,He's just that HOT and undeniably attractive!

My Thanks and Review goes to Miss Kim She rec'd an incredible series which I loved! I can't believe it took me so long to finish up this series, but it was so worth it! Thanks Kim! XOXO's

Love,
Chichi's Girl! *winks* LOL!
