Something About You by Julie James

Of all the hotel rooms rented by all the adulterous politicians in Chicago, female Assistant U.S. Attorney Cameron Lynde had to choose the one next to 1308, where some hot-and-heavy lovemaking ends with a death. And of all the FBI agents in Illinois, it had to be Special Agent Jack Pallas who gets assigned to this high-profile homicide. The same Jack Pallas who still blames Cameron for a botched crackdown three years ago- and for nearly ruining his career.

Work with Cameron Lynde? Are they kidding? Maybe, Jack thinks, this is some kind of welcome-back prank after his stint away from Chicago. But it's no joke; the pair is going to have to put their rocky past behind them and focus on the case at hand. That is, if they can cut back on the razor-sharp jibes- and smother the flame of their sizzling-hot sexual tension.

Something about you – After reading Julie James first book – Just the Sexiest Man Alive – I immediately fell in love with her style of writing and dove head first into her next book on my list – Something about you. And once again you, Ms James have proved again tenfold how wonderfully emotional your writing can be.

Admittedly the book did start slow; it wasn’t until about half way through that I really felt there was progress. But looking back onto that now I think that that time was needed to lay the foundations for the last half of the book. Because once we hit the last half of the book it hurtled us thru it with no stopping or turning back.

And I’ll tell you! There definitely WAS something about Agent Jack Pallas – he was HAWT! He was a sexy dark brooding Alpha male – who took charge and oh...you’ll just have to experience him for yourself because nothing I say will do this man justice.

Cameron is an Assistant US Attorney, who is very career orientated. I like Cameron a lot! She didn’t fight or deny that her life was in danger or not accept the help given to her – where usually most heroine’s act like dumbasses and want to do things their own way. Both characters keep true to their selves and their friends throughout the entire book.

This book killed me, it just killed me. The suspense with these two was palpable! Oh so often they were just about there – a kiss, a touch, a caress, a button away from falling into bed when it would be just ripped away from me. But, FINALLY we graduated to a sex scene! And it was done perfectly. It wasn’t hard core erotica or anything nasty or kinky, but it was sweet, steamy and very intense, it was just ... right.

Something About You is a beautiful love story with interesting plots, perfectly written characters, humour, and of course a HEA that we are all searching for.

Kudos to Julie James!

Savor The Danger by Lori Foster

She may be aloof, and more pretty than gorgeous, but Alani Rivers is the kind of woman a hot-blooded mercenary can't forget, no matter how hard he tries. So when Jackson Savor wakes up next to the naked, sleeping beauty—with no memory of what happened— he knows he's been drugged…even if Alani doesn't.After she was kidnapped, Alani vowed never to trust another man again. Still, something about this strong, sexy hero with the tender touch makes her want to believe him. As Jackson hunts down a mysterious intruder, he swears he'll move heaven and earth to keep Alani safe. But what really happened that night? And will the truth bring them closer than they ever thought possible—or put Alani squarely in harm's way again?

ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL!!

Not that I had any doubt what so ever that I would love Jackson and his story just as much as the previous two, but I believe this one was my absolute favorite! I mean seriously, can you just picture this beautiful, yet lethal cowboy lounging on your front step when you arrive home? My favorite part in this whole book was at that exact moment, as he appeared to be asleep and Alani starts to back away, he drawls "Don't make me chase you darlin'!" TOTAL SWOON WORTHY MOMENT!!! *fanning myself*

Ok, back to the review! This was the third(and I believe last, though I really hope not!)book in the Men Who Walk the Edge of Honor series. I have really enjoyed the books in this series but Jackson, IMO, is a special kind of delicious. He is sweet & kind but also a take charge Alpha, we all know how I love those....and I absolutely loved Alani, who has has a very rough go of it lately but didn't let any of that break her. She was tough and sweet and innocent at the same time. The perfect match for Jackson. Their chemistry made the pages smoke!!

We meet a couple of new characters in this book and I pray that they get their own book because even having just briefly met Spencer and Arizona I can feel their sizzle and I KNOW there is some good story there!!

My Jackson....

Funny Funny - Har Har

 THE CREATION OF A PUSSY

Seven wise men with knowledge so fine,
created a pussy to their design.
First was a butcher,
with smart wit,
using a knife,
he gave it a slit,
Second was a carpenter,
strong and bold,
with a hammer and chisel,
he gave it a hole,
Third was a tailor,
tall and thin,
by using red velvet,
he lined it within,
Fourth was a hunter,
short and stout,
with a piece of fox fur,
he lined it without,
Fifth was a fisherman,
nasty as hell,
threw in a fish and gave it a smell,
Sixth was a preacher,
whose name was McGee,
he touched it and blessed it,
and said it could pee,
Last was a sailor,
dirty little runt,
he sucked it and fucked it,
and called it a cunt.

SC Stephens

For almost two years now, Kiera's boyfriend, Denny, has been everything she's ever wanted: loving, tender and endlessly devoted to her. When they head off to a new city to start their lives together, Denny at his dream job and Kiera at a top-notch university, everything seems perfect. Then an unforeseen obligation forces the happy couple apart.

Feeling lonely, confused, and in need of comfort, Kiera turns to an unexpected source – a local rock star named Kellan Kyle. At first, he's purely a friend that she can lean on, but as her loneliness grows, so does their relationship. And then one night everything changes...and none of them will ever be the same.

Effortless-S.C Stephens-Book 2 Blurb

A lot can happen in a year. You grow, you change, you learn from your mistakes. And Kiera had made a lot of mistakes to learn from. But she had learned, and she was determined to never cause a man pain again, especially the amazing man who currently held her heart. But life offers new challenges for every relationship, and when Kiera’s love is put to the ultimate test, will it come out the other side unscathed?

Love is easy…trust is hard.

Elena's Thoughts:

This novel was so gut wrenching and  painful to read. It had it’s good and bad times. Every time I clicked to the next page my thoughts were “Oh No’s what’s gonna happen now?” I swear, if it were a paperback novel I would’ve cheated and went straight to the end of the novel. LOL!! I didn’t want to be disappointed if there wasn’t a Happily Ever After. But for once,I got what I wanted...

Kiera's trust issues will make you wanna strangle her! But,It all happens for a reason,I took the time to hate and love her character. I for one, wouldn’t know how to handle keeping a long term relationship with a Rock Star boyfriend who goes on tour for six months. And Let me not forget to mention Kellan Kyle is the definition of a player. Having so many sexual partners he’s lost count how many woman he’s slept with. But in his world Kiera is his everything, his world, but is it enough to keep the love of his life to trust him? I don’t know..........read and find out. So this is where, I totally understand the Heroines POV of the story. But then again, would I ever put myself in a circus situation and deal with all the drama? Hmmmm If it’s Kellan Kyle? HECKS YEAH!!!!!! LOL!!! In reality? Hell Freaking NO!! Now you see where I’m going with ,my opinions with this story. It’s confusing, emotionally distraught, intense, but then again,it has a really good story, very romantic “you can feel the love in the air kinda of stuff” Sexually hot! *sweaty palms* It’s everything that I love in a novel,I just really wished the heroine took her trusting and insecurities down a notch, but it is what is is.

If you’re not a fan of cheating and love triangles, then I would skip book 1 “Thoughtless” you can read the second book and enjoy it for the story that it is. Everything gets repeated in small glimpses in this novel. So skip it. I promise you’re not missing out on much. But then again,if you can take in all the above, the go for it,It’s a great novel. See once again I’m confused about my feelings for this novel. I’m totally twisted up and emotional wrung out. LOL!!

Must have series,Love It,Hate It,but you’ll get over it.....ahahahaha... I believe Fans of "Beautiful Disaster by Jaime McGuire" and "All The Wrong Reasons By J.L Paul" will  ENJOY this series.

BTW! Don’t let the covers to this series fool you,it’s not a young adult series.

Wild Heart by Lori Brighton

Leo Roberts is next in line for an earldom and the power and fortune that come with it, but he is uncultured, unrefined--and completely untamed. . .until governess Ella Finch arrives upon the scene. Can so young and inexperienced a woman tutor him in the manners and mores of his class? Leo's mysterious past has rendered him an outsider, too wild for polite society. But he finds her innocence most intriguing. . .

Willing. . .

What manner of man he may be, Ella does not know. Yet he fascinates her and she must know more. Capturing Leo's reckless heart is about to free her in ways she never dreamed of. . .and his sensual touch releases the deepest yearnings of her body and soul . .

WILD HEART

On first impressions this book reminds me very much of ‘ The madness of Lord Ian Mackenzie’. The way Leo is withdrawn, ‘crazy and wild. But at the same time a very passionate man.

I will not go into plot dissection because if your reading this then you more than likely know the plot summary. I will however thrill everyone with my many likes and dislikes of this novel.

I loved the stolen kisses between Ella and Leo. But found it beyond frustrating that every time Leo had Ella all to his self he was conveniently interrupted.

I loved the mystery aspect to the plot. It wasn’t forced into the story line but seemlessly worked in. The way there was always a man in the background, the flash back of memories. All worked perfectly.

Thought in wonderful that Leo wasn’t willing to budge on his attitude. And that Ella fell in love with him for who he was and not who he was meant to be.

The paranormal aspect, that I wasn’t expecting was a nice little feature in the novel.

I would have like more of an explanation as to what the map and statues were, and what exactly was the purpose of Ella’s powers

Where Leo and Ella linked somehow?

Are they going to search for the necklace and Henry?

All in all this was a first class debut novel, with passion, willingness and a love to rival the ages. Beautiful.

Crushed Seraphim by Debra Anastasia

How does a foul-mouthed angel end up as the last hope for all of Heaven and Earth?

When Seraph Emma is maimed and tossed from Heaven by a rogue angel who's taken charge, she fears she'll never be allowed to return. Tasked with the impossible job of showing the self-loathing (and not even human!) Jason his worth, Emma is sure she's doomed to fail.

Meanwhile, having wormed his way into Heaven, the corrupt Everett has trapped God in Hell and has designs on unleashing evil everywhere. Fortunately, if there's one thing Emma can't do (in addition to minding her language), it's give up. Determined to save Jason and get back to Heaven-even if it means going to Hell-Emma's plan is simple yet impossible: trick the Devil to save God.

What she doesn't count on is the devotion and, well, humanity she finds in Jason; the spirit, hidden compassion, and raw sex appeal within the Devil; and the vulnerability of her own heart. With the help of two unlikely allies, she'll wage the battle for Heaven. But will Emma be sidetracked by a new sort of heaven along the way?

What's truly more dangerous?
Falling from Heaven, or falling in love?

What a FUN book!!

I have determined that Debra Anastasia is going to tell me an incredibly entertaining story, whether she’s writing the love story of a homeless man, and his completely dysfunctional brothers, or in this case a story of good and evil colliding and finding an unexpected love.

Emma is a seraph who has been sent to earth as Jason’s Christmas Angel.  Emma’s job is to show Jason, who is a half-breed vampire his self-worth.  Heaven  has an aversion to the half-breed vampires, and apparently Emma does too.  Quickly Emma finds that Jason actually has some humanity about him, and is very kind, and quite sexy too.  Along with trying to accomplish this task of Jason, she is trying to figure out how to save God, who is trapped in Hell.  While God is trapped, and Emma is occupied, there is betrayal from another seraph brewing.  Emma goes on quite a journey in this story. Starting with getting herself thrown into Hell, where she meets Satan Jack, who exudes irresistible sex appeal.  Jack is licking a major wound that is hundreds of years old, which is responsible for landing him in Hell as Satan.  Jack is quite lonely in spite the string of women that end up in his bed.  That is until Emma lands in Hell, and Satan Jack’s heart finds something he thought was forever lost.  As Emma’s journey goes, she starts to warm toward Jack, as she comes to know that there is still a good soul inside of him.
When Emma makes the ultimate sacrifice, all those she has touched, rally to try and save her.

I don’t like to give up too much of the story, because the reader unfolding the details is the most enjoyable part of reading.  As I said, Emma goes on quite a journey, from seraph, to human, to sap sucking vampire, to a seraph again, and back to human.  The ride in between was so much fun, and there were moments that I felt my heart ache.  I got really caught up in the story when Jason was telling Emma about his past, and I just hung on for the rest of the ride.  The characterization is exactly what I expect from Debra Anastasia; sweet, funny, witty, courageous, sexy, loyal, and foul mouthed.  I can not wait for the next book!!

Debra Anastasia,  I adore your storytelling, and I can’t wait for you to tell me another one!!

Guilty Pleasures By Kitty Thomas

Vivian Delaney leads a life of privilege, but behind closed doors she feels isolated and trapped in a gilded cage. Unable to achieve sexual pleasure with her husband, she finds herself in the capable hands of Anton, a massage therapist intent on awakening her to her full sexual potential. By any means necessary.

As their secret meetings progress, she falls farther down a rabbit hole where the line between rape and illicit affair grows increasingly blurred. Anton will accept nothing short of her complete surrender as he molds and shapes her to be sold to the highest bidder.

My thoughts go out to my GR friends who threw me into a cockpit with this read and wanted to know what I thought of it before they read it themselves.Mmmmhmmmm....ya'll know who you are. smiley, wink

Well for starters,I had a lot of mixed feelings on it.I had a very hard time rating it,so writing a review was a little difficult as well. So these are just my feelings and what I thought of the book.

Alrighty! It lost one star, cause for those of you who know me well, ya'll know I'm a terrible guesser on predicting what's next. I knew what was gonna happen before it happened.

It lost one more star, cause although I like novels with BDSM in them, this book had me wince & gnaw at the little that was left of my fingernails.I actually felt sorry for the woman.I didn't find it arousing at all =( I felt like she was being beaten! LOL! I know it's not funny but I've read more arousing punishments then that! ahahaha....

Now for the 3stars,I liked the concept of the story & Of course all the Smutty men mmmmmhmmmmm....yummy! ahahahaha.....although I gotta say I'll keep loving them as long as I'm not the one under their hardcore toys *flinches* *shudders* LMAO!!!

Otherwise,Enjoy! Now I can't wait to see what others thought of this book. If anyone gives it a higher rating, then I can point out your Smexy Kink! ahahahaha.......

Archangel's Blade (Guild Hunter #4) Nalini Singh

The severed head marked by a distinctive tattoo on its cheek should have been a Guild case, but dark instincts honed over hundreds of years of life compel the vampire Dmitri to take control. There is something twisted about this death, something that whispers of centuries long past...but Dmitri's need to discover the truth is nothing to the vicious strength of his response to the hunter assigned to decipher the tattoo.

Savaged in a brutal attack that almost killed her, Honor is nowhere near ready to come face to face with the seductive vampire who is an archangel's right hand, and who wears his cruelty as boldly as his lethal sensuality...the same vampire who has been her secret obsession since the day she was old enough to understand the inexplicable, violent emotions he aroused in her.

As desire turns into a dangerous compulsion that might destroy them both, it becomes clear the past will not stay buried. Something is hunting...and it will not stop until it brings a blood-soaked nightmare to life once more..

Elena's Thoughts:  Without being a huge fan of Dimitri, I honestly had no interest in reading this novel. Now? I totally regret it! I'm such a fool......This novel pulled me out of my PNR book funk.

Loved the plot of the story.

The man Dimitri was before he was made into a vampire was not the same man he is today. One person pulls him in and squeezes his heart and makes him love again. Honor. One simple woman does such wonders. Honor is also a tortured heroine, throughout the story Dimitri helps Honor, run vengeance against the party of vampires who abducted, tortured, and took advantage of her.( They were a nice pair of coldhearted killers. Loved it!) In my opinion if I were in their city being the villain I'd run for the hills if I spotted them a mile away from me. They could put the fear in an enemies eyes with a vengeful smile. What a vicious couple they are. *grins* Perfect couple!

Demitri and Honor's, past, present and future are, and will always make them strong willed hearted souls. There's no chance in the world anyone can separate them.

It's extremely hard not to give out spoilers. But I can tell readers who have read this series, don't pull one of my moves if you haven't picked up this novel yet. I'll guarantee you'll have a whole different point of view with Dimitri. You'll want more by the time you're done reading this novel. And the Heroine will blow you away. Her story is very emotional. You'd wanna cuddle and keep her safe as well. And!! No worries you still get glimpses of Raphael and Elena :)

I do have one question that left my mind reeling with thoughts. Will there be a story between Venom and Sorrow? Mmmm...

Tempting the Beast - Lora Leigh

Book 1 in the Feline Breeds series.

Callan Lyons is a genetic experiment. One of six fighting for freedom and the survival of their Pride. Merinus Tyler is the reporter who will tempt him, draw him, until the fury of the "mating frenzy" locks them into a battle of sexual heat there is no escape from.
Deception, blood, and the evil Genetics Council are hot on their trail. Callan will use his strength to try and save them both...and do all in his power to keep his woman in the process.

C.U.Next.Tuesday

- is quite possibly the most horrible, degradable word to describe the female anatomy in the English language. I refuse to use the word. So you can imagine my jaw drop when I stumble across the word in almost every other paragraph in this book.

So, moving on. This is the first book in the breed series. And after so many great reviews I could hardly contain my excitement when I started reading.

I have to agree that the story has ALOT of potential.

We have Callen. A human cross breed of man and Lion. In the beginning I loved Callen's personality. He came across as witty and just loved all the sexual innuendos. But as the story progressed he seemed to loose that part of him and became just another brooding male to add to the never ending list.

Merinus - the heroine. Lets get something straight. The girl needs to realize that whole world doesn't revolve around her 7 brothers. Her endless references to them became tiresome very early on in the book. She was typical heroine, trying to push away what she wanted so badly. But of course she was the untouched virgin as-well. Needless to say though she was a pretty tough cookie.

There was A LOTTA sex! bought on by this mating frenzy. But damn it was HOT!

I like how Lora Leigh has set up the characters for the next books in the series and as said prior I can see alot of potential and I am looking forward to the future of this series.

Return to Me - Christy Reece

DESIRED TO DEATH

Posing as an underage teenager, Samara Lyons is out to trap an online predator. Smart, fiery, and fresh off a broken engagement, Samara is up for the challenge. But this challenge might not be so easy. Her boss, Noah McCall, head of a private international corporation called Last Chance Rescue, can’t disguise his raw, physical desire for Samara–and she’s going crazy battling her own feelings for him. The middle of a high-stakes op, with the fate of dozens of innocent lives on the line, is not the time to indulge in sensual delights.

Then the sting explodes, forcing Noah to face his dark past and throwing Samara into the middle of an evil tug-of-war. Noah must confront an enemy he knows better than anyone else in the world, while Samara must find a way to stay alive. Now it’s no longer a matter of desire–it’s all about survival.

I LOVED this book, and I couldn’t find one reason not to give it 5 stars.

Pamela Clare was my first romantic suspense books, and IMO, she can be a tough act to follow.

Well Christy Reece has me all “Fan Girl” now!
This is my second Romantic Suspense from Reece, and it is the second installment in the LAST CHANCE RESCUE series. I really liked the first book “Rescue Me” and Reece did not disappoint in this one.
Her descriptions of everything are excellent, not too much, just right. The images in my head were like a movie playing.

Return To Me is a continuation of the first book. We meet all of the players, good and bad, in the first book. A new character pops up in this one, who plays a major role in the story. The suspense of the story isn’t a “who done it”. It’s pretty much known all along who the bad guys are. I loved watching the story play out, wondering what was going to happen next.

Characters are really important to me, whether I love them or hate them. And Reece made me absolutely love the 2 lead characters.

Noah McCall is the founder and “head man in charge” of the LCR (Last Chance Rescue) organization. I got to know him very little in the first book as a secondary character. Now in Return to me, he is a full blown lead character, with the alpha male presence that of my favorite kind. The mysterious, loner, brooding tortured hero, yanked at my heart strings, and tugged my tear ducts more than once. Learning about his past broke my heart.
A good part of his past is found out early on in the book, but it’s not until the traumatic events of the story play out that we find out the depths of his emotional scars.

Noah first meets Samara Lyons toward the end of the first book, and she’s quite the firecracker. She comes across to him like no one else, tough, “take no crap” attitude clashes with Noah and the sparks ignite.

The story begins:
Noah shows up in Samara’s hometown of Birmingham Alabama to ask her to help him with an operation. Because she is small in stature, and looks years younger than she is, he thinks she’d be perfect to help him catch an online predator, who is associated with a human trafficking ring. After some…convincing, she agrees to help him. Samara is harboring some residual hurt feelings from Noah, but as the story unfolds and she gets to know him, (as much as he’ll let her) she starts to develop other feelings for him, and him for her. The sexual tension builds to explosive proportions.
Noah is constantly trying to keep Samara at arms length, (unsuccessfully at times) because he thinks he has nothing to offer. His work is his life, and he has no time, or desire for a relationship. That combined with his past, makes him think he has nothing to give Samara. Well…Samara has other plans.

*********** QUOTES*******

Like the rarest of all treasures, he explored her as if she were a precious, undiscovered jewel. Every soft sigh he cherished, every groan ingrained into his memory. When she took him inside her, it was as if he were coming home, As if in her arms, all the answers in the universe were hers to give and he greedily accepted them. Surging into her heated warmth, Noah found what he’d been searching for his entire life.

**************************

Lying across the bed that only an hour ago he’d shared with Samara, he inhaled the lingering sweetness of her fragrance. Their lovemaking the first time had been purely sexual, intense and passionate, but without the intensity of deep feelings. Today it had been that…purely lovemaking. A wry grimace tugged at his mouth. He was thirty-two years old and had just made love for the first time today.

Coming Undone ( Brown Siblings #2 ) By Lauren Dane

Brody Brown has always been responsible for others. After his parents’ death, he gave up a promising artistic career to care for his younger brother and sister. Now, with his siblings grown, Brody owns his own business, has a nice house, makes a nice living, and for the first time in years he’s on his own.
Elise Sorenson has come to Seattle with her young daughter to find peace. After years as a world-famous ballerina—(and just as many years in a marriage-gone-bad)—she’s looking for neither love nor attention. But she finds both in the handsome, honest man who befriends her with no strings attached.
More than friends, Brody and Elise discover in each other what they need—wild, physical passion without commitment. But it’ll take a shadow from Elise’s past to make them look beyond what they need—to what they truly desire.

She was coming undone and there was nothing to do but let it happen.

The second book of Brown Siblings series, featuring Brody Brown, the oldest son, and Elise Sorenson.

I have a mixed feelings about this one. Not quite good as the first book, Laid Bare . Some parts are boring, with capital B. Just too much dialog, chat, greeting each other, having parties, like what you do with  your neighbor. Elise and Brody's relationship is not as deep like Erin-Todd-Ben in  "Laid Bare".  It's understandable, since they're just friend's with benefits at first, but I just feel a little connection with them.

What I love from Coming Undone is the family theme in this book, both from Brody and Elise's family. Like always, Brown siblings support each other and Elise parents help her to face her ex in-laws, The Sorensons, while they try to get Elise's daughter, Rennie. Rennie herself is adorable. I don't mind with character have a child. Sometimes it can be annoying for some stories, sometimes it feel natural like what Ms Dane had done in this story. Rennie is cute, energetic, and chatty, you will hope to have daughter like her :).

Elise is a strong woman, but she's has too much self-blame, always feeling guilty, sometimes make me want to slap her and get over it. Brody, has a bad boy vibe, pierced, tattooed, he is a tattoo artist after all, and riding a big bike. But his heart is as big as the moon. He's kind of like the big brother you wish to have.  A nice, caring man you want to marry.

This is what Brody must look like, just minus tattoo ( I can't do Photoshop, so I can't give it tattoos :(  ) :
VROOM, VROOOM, RAWRRR!! :))

The steam factor is not as hot as the first, what made me a little bit surprise, is the sex scenes were not too frequent or creative (except the one when they have sex facing the mirror, fyuuuh!!!).

Elise and Brody must deal with Elise's issues. She lives with her daughter Rennie. And of course she doesn't want her daughter to know she's having an "intimate relationship" with Brody, when they finally show their love and act naturally. But, fans of Erin-Todd-Ben will be happy, when Ms Dane writes their sex scene, and I admit that is hotter than Brody-Elise do.

The Brown Siblings series seems have heroines dealing with their abused past, like Erin in Laid Bare, and Elise in this book. The next book is about Ella, Erin's co-worker and Andrew Copeland, Ben's lil' brother. Ella is abused too, and I want to know how Andrew will heal her in "Inside Out"

To Command and Collar (Masters of the Shadowlands #6)- Cherise Sinclair

Determined to find the human traffickers preying on Shadowlands’ submissives, Master Raoul gets himself invited to a small slave auction. Once informed, the FBI orders him to reject the limited choices so the slavers will invite him to the big auction. To Raoul’s shock, one of the slaves is the kidnapped friend of a Shadowlands sub. She has a scarred body…and an unbroken spirit. He can’t leave her behind. Ruining the FBI’s carefully laid plans, he buys her.

Poughkeepsie by Debra Anastasia

He counts her smiles every day and night at the train station. And morning and evening, the beautiful commuter acknowledges him—just like she does everyone else on the platform. But Blake Hartt is not like the others . . . he’s homeless. Memories of a broken childhood have robbed him of peace and twisted delusions into his soul. He stays secluded from the sun, sure the world would run from him in the harsh light of day.

Each day, Livia McHugh smiles politely and acknowledges her fellow commuters as she waits for the train to the city. She dismisses this kindness as nothing special, just like her. She’s the same as a million other girls—certainly no one to be cherished. But special or not, she smiles every day, never imagining that someone would rely on the simple gesture as if it were air to breathe.

When the moment comes that Livia must do more than smile, without hesitation she steps into the fray to defend the homeless man. And she's surprised to discover an inexplicable connection with her new friend. After danger subsides, their smiles become conversation. Their words usher in a friendship, which awakens something in each of them. But it’s not long before their bond must prove its strength. Entanglements from the past challenge both their love and their lives.

Immortal Rider - Larissa Ione

Sexy, powerful, and immortal, Limos is on a crash course with destiny. She’s been marked as Satan’s bride and her jealous fiance wants her all to himself. The only way this Horseman can keep herself—and everyone else—safe is to keep her distance. But not even Limos can save herself from the secrets she’s kept . . . or resist the seductive allure of one very brave human.

Arik Wagner knows the saying “love hurts” better than most, yet he never thought stealing a kiss from Limos would land him in Hell. Literally. It takes all his military training to survive the demon torture, but once he’s topside, Arik realizes that the agony has just begun. With the Apocalypse looming and Satan demanding his bride, will Arik and Limos surrender to the desire smoldering between them? Or will giving in to their passion unleash hell on earth?

What a ride! My head is still spinning from this book, in a good way. I loved Immortal Rider equally as much as I loved Eternal Rider. These four horseman/woman will get your panties tide in a knot and tingly in all the right places.  The book has the perfect amount of romance, fantastic action and so many scheming plots your won’t know which way is which.

I absolutely love Larissa Ione and in Immortal Rider she has lived up to her reputation. In this book we get to have Arik get his HEA. I have swooned like many others for Arik since his days in the Demonica series. Add in a wicked Heroine, Limos – who I’m in such awe of, when I grow up I want to be just like her - and you have the perfect recipe for a perfect book.

The couple have to deal with ALOT of sh*t to be together to be quite honest, and both have alot of secrets that are revealed that could potentially ruin everything. The two have fantastic chemistry but who got me real tingly was Than and Regan, holly smokes! Talk about HAWT! I’m not getting into that any more than that because it’s a major spoiler – but wow! I want that next book NOW!

All in the entire story was written perfectly. I love all the characters even the bad guys. This series in going to be one to rival the ages and if you haven’t read this series yet – go add it now! I cannot wait for the next book!
