Olivia Cunning

Honestly, Im like a giddy school girl knowing today is the day Olivia Cunning is on the blog. I freaking love the Sinners and thought what better way of sharing the love than to interview the beautiful woman herself!
INTERVIEW
You have just released a new book – Defying
Destiny. You wrote this under the new name of, Olivia Downing. First why the
name change for this book and second, was it fun getting to re name yourself to
whatever you wanted?
Defying Destiny is a different genre than my
other books. It’s a fantasy romance and much less erotic than the rest of my
books. I plan to release more fantasy books under the Olivia Downing name in
the future. I love writing fantasy. Olivia Cunning is reserved for my more
erotic works. I plan to release more erotic books under the Olivia Cunning
name, too. I used a different pen name so readers know what to expect. If it’s
an Olivia Cunning book, it’s going to be very sexually explicit, if that’s what
you’re looking for (or avoiding) you’ll know what you’re getting before you
dive between the covers. Rather than being fun, I think it’s kind of stressful
to come up with pennames. I think that’s why my second penname is so similar to
my first. Not very original.
I insist you put me out of my and the rest of
the sinner groupie worlds misery – when is the next book going to be released!!
IM DYING HERE!
I just found out that Trey’s book (which is
being released next) will be in stores November 1, 2012.
If you could go forward or backwards in time,
which would you choose and what would you do once you got there?
I’d go forward. I can always read about what
happened in the past, but there is no way to know what will happen after I’m
gone. I’d have to find out what scientific discoveries had been made—yep, I’m a
closet science geek—and listen to music of the future to see if rock ‘n’ roll
survives.
I ask this to all authors; feel free to not
answer – do you ever write naked, in the nude, in your birthday suit,
nekkid....free as a bird?
I regularly plot new scenes while I’m in the
shower and write them down later. Does that count?
Where did the inspiration come from to write
erotic books that are about a famous Rock Band?
I’ve always thought rock stars are sexy and
I’ve always wanted to be a rock star (and under a rock star). I get most of my
ideas while at concerts or watching documentaries about rock stars. I didn’t
intend for it to be erotic when I first started writing it, but it insisted. If
there are any rock stars out there who would like to assist me in my research,
I’m looking for volunteers.
What was your
favorite chapter (or part) to write and why?
Of which
book?
In the Sinners books I like to write scenes where all of the guys are
just sitting around giving each other a hard time. Why? Because they make me
laugh.
Will Jace finally come outta the closet and share stories with his band members, or will Jace still be the dark, seductive young man that I know?
Will Jace finally come outta the closet and share stories with his band members, or will Jace still be the dark, seductive young man that I know?
He’ll have
some sharing moments, but he’s not the kind of guy to be totally open with
anyone. Except his true love. His woman gets him to open up to her, but it
isn’t easy.
If you could trade places with any other person
for a week, famous or not famous, living or dead, real or fictional. with whom
would it be?
Reagan Elliot (Trey Mill’s heroine) Why? You’ll
find out in around 11 months. *evil laugh*
Can you give us any sneak peeks at what you’re
working on right now or is it all under wraps?
I’m working on some rewrites for Jace’s book in
the Sinners on Tour series, have a few things to change in Eric’s book, and am
editing the second Lover’s Leap book, Twice Upon a Time. I just finished edits
on a short story (called Original Cyn) in a succubus anthology. Very erotic.
I’m writing a new series that I’m VERY excited about called Seeking Eternity.
The first book in that series is called Cyn’s Beast. I’m also working on edits
in the next Olivia Downing release: Sylum’s Saga 1, The Sword of Dark Souls. So
if you can’t tell, I’m quite busy. And
then there’s the day job…

DEFYING DESTINY -
Olivia Dowining
On an Earth-like
fantasy world, Maralee is a slayer of man-eating, immortal Wolves. For
over 500 years, the Wolves' weakness to silver has been her family's
guarded secret. When the beasts massacred her family fifteen years ago,
they thought their secret had died with the last of the Wolf Hunters.
Maralee survived the attack, and she knows how to slay these pestilent
Wolves. With her departed father's silver sword, she kills for
vengeance and duty, chasing her destiny as The Wolf Huntress. Nash is
a Wolf Guardian, the only of his shape-shifting kind who can break
their 500 year-old curse. Protected by his crescent-shaped birthmark
and a troubling secret, Nash is impervious to the full moon's effects.
When a frenzied, blood lust consumes his brethren every moon cycle, he
uses his power of persuasion to soothe the Wolves and protect their
human prey. One night, beneath the full moon, Maralee meets Nash, and
her perceptions start to change. She only killed a single Wolf on this
hunt. This mysterious man who stopped her from slaying the rest of the
pack intrigues her. A Guardian? Nash has failed to protect his own
brother from the Huntress, but in Maralee, he sees possibility, not
malice. Certain he can prevent her from slaying his people by showing
her their humanity, Nash invites the Huntress into his life -- and falls
for her. He hides his Wolf form, knowing he is everything she hates. A
monster. How can she ever love a monster? How can she not? Destiny
decreed she kill him... Her heart had other ideas
