Archangel's Blade (Guild Hunter #4) Nalini Singh

The severed head marked by a distinctive tattoo on its cheek should have been a Guild case, but dark instincts honed over hundreds of years of life compel the vampire Dmitri to take control. There is something twisted about this death, something that whispers of centuries long past...but Dmitri's need to discover the truth is nothing to the vicious strength of his response to the hunter assigned to decipher the tattoo.

Savaged in a brutal attack that almost killed her, Honor is nowhere near ready to come face to face with the seductive vampire who is an archangel's right hand, and who wears his cruelty as boldly as his lethal sensuality...the same vampire who has been her secret obsession since the day she was old enough to understand the inexplicable, violent emotions he aroused in her.

As desire turns into a dangerous compulsion that might destroy them both, it becomes clear the past will not stay buried. Something is hunting...and it will not stop until it brings a blood-soaked nightmare to life once more..

Elena's Thoughts:  Without being a huge fan of Dimitri, I honestly had no interest in reading this novel. Now? I totally regret it! I'm such a fool......This novel pulled me out of my PNR book funk.

Loved the plot of the story.

The man Dimitri was before he was made into a vampire was not the same man he is today. One person pulls him in and squeezes his heart and makes him love again. Honor. One simple woman does such wonders. Honor is also a tortured heroine, throughout the story Dimitri helps Honor, run vengeance against the party of vampires who abducted, tortured, and took advantage of her.( They were a nice pair of coldhearted killers. Loved it!) In my opinion if I were in their city being the villain I'd run for the hills if I spotted them a mile away from me. They could put the fear in an enemies eyes with a vengeful smile. What a vicious couple they are. *grins* Perfect couple!

Demitri and Honor's, past, present and future are, and will always make them strong willed hearted souls. There's no chance in the world anyone can separate them.

It's extremely hard not to give out spoilers. But I can tell readers who have read this series, don't pull one of my moves if you haven't picked up this novel yet. I'll guarantee you'll have a whole different point of view with Dimitri. You'll want more by the time you're done reading this novel. And the Heroine will blow you away. Her story is very emotional. You'd wanna cuddle and keep her safe as well. And!! No worries you still get glimpses of Raphael and Elena :)

I do have one question that left my mind reeling with thoughts. Will there be a story between Venom and Sorrow? Mmmm...

I also loved this book, but I've been a Dmitri fan from the start. There's something about a sexy, powerful, dark man with menace that is just alluring, especially if he's a vampire and sex is his superpower. He's such an ass to Elena but SO protective of and loyal to Raphael! This series is gold!

I'm glad it was able to pull you out of your PNR funk! =) Ms. Singh recently announced that Jason's book is next, but I'm really hoping for a Venom one soon. Love him too!! Oh and Bluebell! *swoon* Angels and vampires - does it get any better!?!
