Love Unrehearsed (#2) By Tina Reber

Love Unrehearsed (Love, #2)There is no rehearsal for true love.

When A-list film actor Ryan Christensen ducked into her pub to escape his screaming fans, never in a million years did Taryn Mitchell think her life was about to change forever. But now, eight months later, after a whirlwind romance, Taryn wakes up in Ryan’s Hollywood hotel room to find a diamond to die for on her left ring finger—and her face splashed across the cover of every gossip magazine.

Ryan’s very public proposal is catnip to the tabloids, his management team is worried, and Taryn must figure out how a small town girl like her fits into his glittering world. What does it take to make a relationship work amidst telephoto lenses, daily on-set temptations, and jealous fans who will stop at nothing to keep you from walking down the aisle with the man of your dreams?

With no script to follow and no chance for a dress rehearsal, Taryn and Ryan will be forced to take the plunge and risk everything to make their love last.

Sam's Review:

This was the happy ending I was looking for in this two book series. After the angst filled rollercoaster of book one I couldn’t wait to sit down and get hurled back into the life of Ryan Christenen and Taryn Mitchell. These two are madly in love after book one and even after their very rough ups and downs these two are solid as a rock now.

Apparently this was a long awaited sequel, thank fully I didn’t have to wait at all as I only just stumbled onto this book about a month ago. I mean who wants to wait for books in a series!!
If you haven’t read book one – DO! This book is about trust, doubts, acceptance, shattered dreams and hope. And ultimately about finding true love...sigh...

In book two we have to deal with the severe demands of Ryan’s job and the reality that the couple have no privacy and are in constant demand from the public eye. The couple have to deal with untrustworthy co stars, shonky publicists, unreliable managers and asswipe paparazzi.

Thankfully I didn’t have to have my heart ripped open in book two as the couple were stronger than ever and learn t how to deal and cope with their own reality that is being famous and how to do it together.
These two shared such amazing chemistry and every hot, mouth watering sex scene just left me panting! Ryan would come out with the most romantic words that just make a girl swoon!

- “You’re my world, babe. Mine. Not theirs. They can have me, but they can’t have you, too…. I meant it when I said forever… You are it for me… The me that is standing in front of you right now is not the same me that’s out there in the spotlight… They only get the outside, not the inside. That’s for you.“
The author easily captured the thrill and ride that comes along with this type of relationship and the true pains in the butts that coincide with it. The author made you feel like you were a part of their intimate life, and their issues. Both partners were not perfect and both made mistakes but it was a true joy to read them learn from those.

The ending in book two was perfection – just like Ryan!! It was truly a happily ever after, and I was fist pumping out of happiness for these two who against all odds made it through!

The RedHead Revealed (#2) By Alice Clayton

The Redhead Revealed (Redhead, #2)As their careers catch fire, Grace and Jack -- everyone’s favorite foul-mouthed, funny, and feisty couple -- find themselves on opposite coasts. Grace has landed in New York City, where she loves being onstage again, particularly because she’s playing a fabulous character in a musical written by her old college flame, Michael. Their rekindled friendship makes exploring the city that much more fun.

Wait, it’s just friendship, right?

Meanwhile, in L.A., Jack can scarcely keep up with the swirling throngs of women who track him everywhere he goes, the endless press appearances, and the ridiculous rules his manager, Holly, keeps concocting for him -- all part of the buildup to the release of Time, his steamy new film.

Thank goodness for phone sex.

But even when their schedules allow them to connect, Grace and Jack must keep their relationship off the radar and away from paparazzi cameras. Sure, the sex is sensational, but can this duo survive swirling rumors, the demands of their chosen professions, Grace’s raging internal battles, and a whopping nine-year age difference?

Tick-tock, the clock is ticking. Isn’t it?

Alice Clayton brings the second installment of a tale told with her magical mix of humor and heat, so cuddle up under the sheets and flip on the Golden Girls. Grace and Jack are at it again

Elena's Review:

Schmaltz.That's what she said......

Once again we're thrown in the mix of Grace and Jack's world. Full of fun, chaotic, nutty, smutty, sad, insanely funny,and....hmmmm...I know I mentioned smutty right? Lol! Whatever teasers us readers had in the first book, these characters are on the saddle full throttle, with any chance they get!

With Jack's career booming and becoming a huge star. Grace having her chance to fulfil her dreams since she was a girl. The whole story is crazy emotional, but the characters pull it off with their constant bickering and joking. You just sort of see what'ss happening only on the surface of their lives and not what's hidden underneath, till the dam bursts....

Grace and Jack's relationship is confusing, weird and not at all functional. Knowing each other for six months, having mind blogging smexin, then all of a sudden, they're in love? Yup! That's what she said...... Lol! But there is a reason for their shenanigans, first, their age difference, then, their constant reminder they are not to be seen with each other in public, dealing with each others pasts and present futures, hardly seeing each, dealing with the press, and the list just goes on and on.

But in the end when everything gets sorted out,it was more then just the two of them lusting with sex and boinking every chance they get. It was Love,Loyalty,Honesty ,Respect and Understanding. I'm glad everything got sorted out,now I'm a tad bit nervous as to why there's going to be a third book,I'm not sure I can deal with the whirlwind of Grace and Jack's lives again! I was left winded the second time around with book two,but the third? Oh.My.Word.... I'm a survivor with anything dysfunctional, but with Jack and Grace? I'm a lost cause and lost for words.... Cheers to many more Crazy causes my Jack and Grace!

Btw! It was truly a cute story :)

Grace's Thoughts:

When I want to read something funny and sexy, I turn to this author because she writes comedic erotica very well. I love The Redhead series so much! Grace and Jack are so funny, cute, and are just all over each other! I highly recommend you getting into this series now before the third book comes out. Read The Unidentified Redhead FIRST! I'm really looking forward to see what happens to Grace and Jack next!

Wallbanger by Alice Clayton

Wallbanger

Caroline Reynolds has a fantastic new apartment in San Francisco, a KitchenAid mixer, and no O (and we’re not talking Oprah here, folks). She has a flourishing design career, an office overlooking the bay, a killer zucchini bread recipe, and no O. She has Clive (the best cat ever), great friends, a great rack, and no O.

Adding insult to O-less, since her move, she has an oversexed neighbor with the loudest late-night wallbanging she’s ever heard. Each moan, spank, and–was that a meow?–punctuates the fact that not only is she losing sleep, she still has, yep, you guessed it, no O.

Enter Simon Parker. (No, really, Simon, please enter.) When the wallbanging threatens to literally bounce her out of bed, Caroline, clad in sexual frustration and a pink baby-doll nightie, confronts her heard-but-never-seen neighbor. Their late-night hallway encounter has, well, mixed results. Ahem. With walls this thin, the tension’s gonna be thick…

In her third novel, Alice Clayton returns to dish her trademark mix of silly and steamy. Banter, barbs, and strutting pussycats, plus the sexiest apple pie ever made, are dunked in a hot tub and set against the gorgeous San Francisco skyline in this hot and hilarious tale of exasperation at first sight.

Thessa's Review

Four Stars

Tis a sad, sad day when a girl doesn’t even know her own orgasm.

Oh Alice, how I’ve missed your humor. I was so freaking excited to get this book as an ARC. Alice is one of those can’t miss authors and to have an opportunity to read this ahead of time…**happy dance**

This book started off in classic Alice style with lots and lots of humor. The sexual innuendoes and smart ass whit was back in full force. Even after the first chapter, she had me smirking and giggling like a school girl. I knew I was in for quite a ride and she did not disappoint me.

Bad, rapid-fire sex and an ill-timed one-night stand had robbed me of my orgasm. She’d been on vacation for six month now. Six long months.

Poor, poor, Caroline. Can you just imagine? SIX MONTHS! And to top it all off, she has a very noisy neighbor. She just moved into a new apartment in San Francisco and her very first night in that apartment, she was greeted with “oh, Gods” and “Mmmm…Yeah, baby. Right there. Just like that…Don’t stop, don’t stop!” which was preceded in some serious spanking and wallbanging that resulted in painting to drop on her head. Oi vey This was just the beginning too. In addition to “Spanx”, her nickname to one of three of her neighbor’s harem of woman, she also gets to listen to“Purina’s” purring and “Giggler’s” giggling. I love  these nicknames, by the way... LMAO! So who is her mysterious neighbor?

“Why are you such a manwhoring asshole?” I asked, my face inches from his.
“Why are you such a cockblocking priss?” he asked, and when I opened my mouth to tell him exactly what I thought, the fucker kissed me.
Kissed me.

Meet Simon Parker, a.k.a. Wallbanger. This is Caroline’s very sexy and very sexually charged neighbor. He’s quite a looker and charmer. No wonder he has a harem of women. Simon and relationships are hard for a photographer like him. He travels a lot and knows the emotional toll it can take on a potential girlfriend. So why bother, right? So Simon is all about having his fill with willing and knowing women when he’s home from an assignment. Hence his “harem,” though he really hates that term. When they first met, it didn’t really count since Caroline chickened out. So it wasn’t until the second time when they were forced to really acknowledge each other. Sparks flew and the tension between the two was palpable.

Wallbanger v.s. Pink Nightie Girl

They form a truce of sorts, which leads them to become very good friends. The more they hang out, the more they seem to want more. Both have their reasons to keep things on a friendship level, but eventually they do form a relationship. Will Simon finally help Caroline bring back her O? God, let’s hope so for both her and our sakes.

I really enjoyed this book. I loved the H/h, their quirky friends and I just adored Clive, Caroline’s personality filled cat. You can definitely call Clive, the story’s main comic relief. Loved the humor and loved the chemistry. However, the one thing that really prevented me from giving it more stars is the huge amount of sexual frustration I felt. If I had balls, I would’ve been in blue ball hell. LOL. I was getting way too antsy; waiting for Simon to give Caroline her long lost O. Just when you think it might happen, you feel your heart racing and you’re almost there. Just a little more and oh, my God this could be it…then…nothing. Yea. Blue balls. I can laugh about it now, but man it sucked. LOL. Anyway, you just can’t go wrong with reading this. Alice Clayton’s humor and witty writing is always welcome in my book. Love this author and I will continue to support her work. I can’t wait to see what she has next.

Fall From Grace (#1) By Christine Zolendz

Fall From Grace (Mad World, #1)I'm finally home after struggling through my brother's illness and death. But, home is definitely a bit different. My best friend (the only person alive now that knows my secret) has a new boyfriend; and he has a friend. Shane Maxton: bad boy, tattooed rock god, eye candy extraordinaire. He is also New York City's most arrogant, self-serving, son of a, well, a definite one-night stand kind of a guy.
But, it doesn't matter to me because I've spent my existence looking for the love of my life, my angel. And, there is nothing that Shane Maxton can do to change that.
A paranormal romance.

Thessa's Review:

He was ridiculous to look at; every single muscle on his body was clearly defined. The only word that popped in my mind was delicious.

This has been on my TBR for quite some time now. I’ve been wanting to read this, but was never in the mood for a PNR. Then I was fortunate enough to get this as an Amazon freebie and I figured, “why not?” It contains a bad boy rock star, saw lots of five-star, and “OMG, I love this story” reviews, so I finally ran out of excuses and picked this up. I began this story with high expectations. Everything was going great in the beginning, but as the story went on, I was left with one big question: What was Grace’s problem???

“She is a mortal danger to all men. She is beautiful without knowing it, and possesses charms that she’s not even aware of. She is like a trap set by nature – a sweet perfumed rose in whose petals Cupid lurks in ambush! Anyone who has seen her smile has known perfection.”

Grace, I wanted to smack you. What is it lately that I’ve been managing to pick up books with heroines that annoy the crap out of me? So we have Grace. She’s not really human per se. Her soul is being punished for kissing a fallen Angel two thousand years ago. (I would go into detail about this, but it’s best if you just read it for yourself because it’s just too much to explain.) Anyway, her soul travels from body to body, looking for her one true love, her soul mate; her fallen angel that she kissed long ago. She is guided by the Angel Gabriel (and the word guided is used loosely because of all the crap he puts her through). She’s looking for a connection; a spark between her and another person indicating that he might be the one: Her Angel.

I saw him behind my closed eyelids, pale blue angels eyes. My angel; my soul mate.

Enter Shane Maxton. Shane is the lead singer/guitarist in the band Mad World. Though they haven’t made it to the Big Leagues yet, they have quite a following, especially of the female variety. Oh yea, Shane is a big time man-whore. He goes from one female to the next, never wanting a girl for more than one night. However, when he meets Grace, he met his match.

This is where I start to question Grace’s logic. It’s so ridiculously obvious that she and Shane have a connection, but she does nothing but deny all his advances. She has no problem dating other guys/creepers (like Tucker) to see if the spark is there, but totally blows off Shane all because he’s a man-whore. Ugh! Doesn’t she get it? I mean, COME THE FUCK ON!!! He’s right there!!! Have a fucking taste, at the very least for cripes sake! By the time she realizes her mistake, is it too late?

So there you have it, why I couldn’t love this story. Stupid Grace. How she denied Shane time and time after again is beyond me. The guy is sex on a stick. I would happily be another notch on that man’s bedpost. Lord have Mercy! This story was very entertaining and I did really like it, but man did it leave me frustrated. So happy book two was readily available to quench the emptiness I felt at the end.

Graces' Review:

Maddening yet brilliant!

OK, I'm not going to lie and say that I loved this book straight through. In fact, for most of the book I was utterly frustrated at Grace, sometimes at Shane, but mostly at Grace. Even halfway through, I was dangerously close to marking this book as “DNF” (Did Not Finish), but I'm so glad that I forged ahead.

“I knew down deep in my soul that I was special to the person I was looking for.”

I think the best way to describe Grace is that she's a tortured soul. She has spent many, many years looking for someone...looking for the one! So when she meets rock-star Shane and finds out he only does one-night stands, she tells herself that it's definitely NOT him who she's looking for, even though her body reacts differently...ahhh those butterflies!!!

For the most part, Grace and Shane don't get along. She immediately puts up the invisible sign of “Off Limits”, which, of course, makes her more intriguing to him. So, this is the part where my frustration keeps growing at Grace. Shane keeps trying for her, and she keeps pushing him away! It just drove me mad throughout most of the book that she wouldn't even give him a chance. Grrr! The sexual tension between these two is stretched to its limits! For a book with no sex, things do still get steamy! Thank goodness for the shirtless Shane moments...swoon!!!

When the back story is revealed, I found it very fascinating. Puzzle pieces started to fall into place, and I began seeing Grace differently. It's worth reaching the end!!! Sure, there is a cliffhanger, and I had to start reading the sequel right away. Will the frustration continue? I don't know! All I know is that I'm a sucker for a HEA, and I really want to know if Grace and Shane get their HEA!

Funny,Funny Ha Har

Confession time....

When nuns are admitted to Heaven they go through a special gate and are expected to make one last confession before they become angels. Several nuns are lined up at this gate waiting to be absolved of their last sins before they are made holy.

"And so," says St. Peter, "have you ever had any contact with a penis?" "Well," says the first nun in line, "I did once just touch the tip of one with the tip of my finger." "OK," says St. Peter, "dip your finger in the holy water and pass on into heaven."

The next nun admits, "Well, yes, I did once get carried away and I, you know, sort of massaged one a bit." "OK," says St. Peter, "rinse your hand in the holy water and pass on into heaven."

Suddenly there is some jostling in the line and one of the nuns is trying to cut in front. "Well now, what's going on here?" says St. Peter. "Well, your excellency," says the nun who is trying to improve her position in line, "If I'm going to have to gargle that stuff, I want to do it before Sister Mary Thomas sticks her ass in it."

One Night Hero (#2) By Laura Kaye

One Night with a Hero (The Hero, #2) He wants just one night…

After growing up with an abusive, alcoholic father, Army Special Forces Sgt. Brady Scott vowed never to marry or have kids. Sent stateside to get his head on straight—and his anger in check—Brady’s looking for a distraction. He finds it in his beautiful new neighbor’s one-night-only offer for hot sex, but her ability to make him forget is addictive. Suddenly, Brady’s not so sure he can stay away.

…what they need is each other.

Orphaned as a child, community center director Joss Daniels swore she’d never put herself in a position to be left behind again, but she can’t deny herself one sizzling night with the sexy soldier who makes her laugh and kisses her senseless. When Joss discovers she’s pregnant, Brady’s rejection leaves her feeling abandoned. Now, they must overcome their fears before they lose the love and security they’ve found in each other, but can they let go of the past to create a future together?

Holly's Review:

Oh, I do so love a boy meets girl, boy and girl have a smokin’ hot one night stand, girl becomes pregnant, boy is a super A-hole, girl forgives boy, and boy and girl live happily ever after story!!

Seriously though, when I heard that there was a sequel to Her Forbidden Hero I was thrilled! I was even happier that this one was a full length novel! I absolutely loved Brady and Joss, they were both so messed up they had a hard time seeing just how much they needed each other. I am not ashamed to say there were portions of this book that I hurt so much for one or the other of these characters that I was full on crying. That is something I love about Laura Kaye, her books really get pull out the emotions in me.

Joss was one of the coolest chicks I have read about in quite some time. Now, I may be a little impartial seeing as she is tattooed and pierced and totally rocks! Even if it takes her awhile to understand how completely awesome she is! Brady, on the other hand had to work a bit for my affection, and even though I know he has issues, I was still appalled by some of his behavior. But fear not! Brady so thoroughly redeems himself that you can’t help forgive and love him!!

Another exciting item in this book as with any sequel is getting to visit past characters. We get to spend some time with Marco and Alyssa from Her Forbidden Hero. Yay!!

So, if you are looking for a sexy, sweet story with a hot soldier boy and tattooed, pierced beauty who aren’t quite as perfect as they seem on the outside but definitely need each other to find their HEA you will love this one!

Groupie (#1) by Ginger Voight

Groupie (Groupie, #1)

Into any girl's life a star could fall, but there's a thin line between love and obsession.

Andy Foster never expected lightning to strike when she met the enigmatic frontman of an up-and-coming rock band, but Giovanni Carnevale left her thunderstruck. At first it is easy to use her freelance writing career as an excuse to indulge the steamy flirtation from city to city. As she gets ever closer to making her lascivious fantasies a reality, however, she finds herself entangled in the fake and sometimes dangerous world of celebrity where nothing is as it seems, including the celebrities themselves.

She hangs on to find something real amidst the illusion, while Giovanni balances what he wants against what he fears most. Over three years they come together and blow apart with the same kind of combustible passion. This keeps them orbiting in the others' stratosphere despite new relationships and bitter betrayals. They are bound together by something they can't fight, something that draws the ire of another fan determined to claim Vanni all to herself.

Unknowingly they all race toward a dramatic moment of truth

Thessa's Review

Four Very Angsty Stars

**Warning: This review contains a lot of expletives. Reader discretion is advised**

“Someday I’ll wake from this dream and hold my angel in my arms. And she’ll know all along I’ve wanted her.”

FUCK MY MASOCHISTIC SIDE!!! What the fuck did I just read? This was pure angst. I was fooled by the allure of the rock star story line and was immediately drawn to it. So here I am, hoping to read a nice predictable story involving a sexy rock star Hero. So what did I get instead? A cannot-put-it-down-no-matter-how-pissed-off-I-am story. Fuck! This story fucked me up and fucked me up good. Thinking about this story still sets my blood on fire. Why do I do this to myself? I could’ve stopped the pain. I could’ve stopped the train wreck, but NO! I soldiered on because I’m demented and wanted to know where this story was going. Shit!

Music was his foreplay, and I was powerless to stop the seduction the minute he opened his mouth and pure velvet poured forth.

When I first met Giovanni (Vanni) Carnevale, I admit I was immediately drawn to him. I’m normally not a chick who likes guys with long(ish) hair, but I still thought Vanni was sexy as sin. Add on the fact that he’s the lead singer of Dreaming In Blue (DIB), oh yeah, Andy and I didn’t stand a chance. I really liked Andy, for at least most of the book. She’s a real woman, not the typical tiny, big boob, size zero groupie. I loved that Vanni fell for her. The only drawback was that Vanni and his band were on the rise and committing to Andy was not in the cards. Andy was okay with that. Me? Not so much. This is where shit starts to hit the fan.

**Deep breath** Okay. Up to a certain point in the book, I was a happy camper. I was blissful that both Vanni and Andy were happy in their little bubble. They had a relationship, but it was never made public. However, Vanni is a very sought after star. His ego was getting bigger. Just when I think he and Andy were on the right path…BOOM! He gets caught with another woman. Right here is when my heart began to crumble. No amount of excuses was going to save Vanni, especially when he bails on her (view spoiler). Andy deserved better. Enter Graham Baxter.

Graham is the president of a very successful record label. He first meets Andy and Vanni at one of his shows. He shows interest in both Andy and DIB. Andy was deep in love with Vanni so nothing initially happens between the two. However, when Vanni breaks her heart, Graham was in the right place at the right time. Knowing Andy wasn’t ready for another relationship, Graham was very patient. He gives her time and space to sort out her feelings. He is the sweetest man and all he wanted was Andy. Andy’s heart, however, was still Vanni’s to stomp over. This was when I started to lose my patience with Andy. I wanted to slap her and yell “what the fuck is the matter with you??” You have the gorgeous older, wealthy man practically pining for you and what does she do? She makes dumbass mistakes, that’s what. UGH!!! I was livid at her treatment of Graham. She’s willing to live half a life loving Vanni rather than a full life loving Graham. What the fuck?! **Counting backwards…3…2…1…deep breath**

Okay. I just don’t see the logic. After all the shit Vanni put her through, she’s willing to setting for this half life? I want to say “fuck it” and slam my iPad down and walk away. But do I? Of course not. I’m a masochist and I couldn’t put this book down for the life of me. I wanted to see how it will all pan out. I wanted to see if Andy and/or Vanni come to their senses. Alas, the ending just left me more frustrated. Yes folks, it’s a cliffhanger and it’s a doozy.

I have such a love/hate relationship to stories like these. I love how the author is able to elicit such emotions out of me, but I hate how she practically rips apart characters to do it. I have to sit back and admire that. As much as the story pissed me off, I cannot deny how liberating it feels to get so absorbed in a story. So if you like angst, this book is definitely for you. As for me, I want to stop the madness, but I’m a glutton for punishment. Oh yes, I will be diving into book two as soon as my blood pressure lessens OR when book three is available afterwards. Whichever comes first.

The Marriage Mistake (#3) By Jennifer Probst

The Marriage Mistake (Marriage to a Billionaire, #3) Carina Conte has had a crush on her brother Michael’s best friend, Max Gray, since she was a teenager. Now she’s earned her MBA and come to work at Michael’s new venture, America’s fastest-growing bakery empire. But some things never change: her family still treats her like a child. With three drop-dead gorgeous siblings, she’s still the ugly duckling of the bunch. And Max, the company’s new CEO, still barely notices her.

Max knows Carina Conte is strictly off limits. But hot-blooded lust wins out at a conference when the two share a scorching one-night stand—and are busted by her mother! Now, forced by old-world Italian tradition into a marriage he’s not ready for, Max is miserable—and Carina is furious. Her new husband is about to realize that hell hath no fury like a woman transformed….

Grace's Review:

Will the love spell strike again?

I have to admit that after reading The Marriage Trap, Carina Conte was my least favorite character. She acted and seemed much younger than her age. The Marriage Mistake takes place 3 years later. Carina is more mature, more confident, and has earned her MBA. She's ready to move to America to work in her brother's company. Working close with her long-time crush could be fun, if only he can get past viewing her like a younger sibling.

Forget about Nick and Michael. In my opinion, Maximus Gray blows them away! Max is Michael Conte's best friend. He grew up very close with the Conte family. For most of his life, Max has had to learn to reconcile his feelings about his father's actions. As a result, he has commitment issues with women. He really does not want to be like his father. When Carina begins working as his assistant, there is no denying the physical attraction he feels for her, but he must keep his distance or risk losing his best friend's trust.

Carina certainly does not make things easy for Max. As a 26-year old virgin, she may come off as a little too eager to give her V-card away, but there is no question that Max is who she wants to give herself to. She's always been in love with Max. When he finally takes her up on her one-night-stand offer, oh boy! Too bad, they are busted and forced to get married! Will these two find happiness with their miserable marriage? Will the love spell strike again? Read and find out!

The Marriage Mistake is my favorite of the series thus far. The story has a strong backbone with family and friendship. There is a little of Nick and Alexa and a nice dose of Maggie and Michael. Probst wove them all well into the story. Let's just say the families keep getting bigger and bigger!

As for Carina and Max, although both go through a lot of learning and growth, these two are so electrifying together! She wants to be a little submissive, and he doesn't mind giving her all that she desires! Oh, yes! He also knows what do with a paintbrush and chocolate body paint. *fans self*

Thessa's Review

Five Stars

That’s what we have – we’re both damaged with baggage and somehow it works.

**Wipes away tears** I’m crying like a baby, but I don’t care. I ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS! **Sniff** Wow! This was a pleasant surprise. After my last read, which was angst on steroids, I wanted something light and predictable. This my friends, was not light, though it was a little predictable. The H/h were both incredible characters and their story is chalk full of emotions, anger and love. It all equaled to one big beautiful story.

He has dark blond, clouds-over-sunset colored hair. It’s messy, like he hasn’t combed it all day. A black t-shirt stretches across his chest and all the way down his right arm are tattoos. Like, so many of them I can’t even see his skin.

Tattoos. With that one word describing our Hero, Colt, I immediately fell in love. Superficial of me, I know, but I can’t help what I like and fantasize about. However underneath his tough guy exterior, lays a man who is going through the toughest time of his life. His beloved mother is dying. She is all the family he has left and means the world to him. He’s a good son, most of the time. All his mother wants is for Colt to be happy. She constantly encourages him to be a better man. No more drug dealing and concentrate on school. Colt tries, but his overwhelming feeling of responsibility to help his mom, financially and emotionally, take a toll on him. Where else can he make fast money to help?

This is a game. Our game. One that I asked for, but with each day it feels more real.

Cheyenne is prone to panic attacks. When she was very young, her mother abandoned her during a party. There’s more to that story as we later find out, but just know, it does a number on her. She refuses to let anyone too close to her. Even her sleazy, now ex-boyfriend never got that close. But still. She had plans with Gregory. He was her normal, but the bastard broke her heart anyway.

I vow to myself right then and there I will never make that mistake again. People hurt you if you let them. I won’t be hurt again.

After being together for two years, she caught Gregory cheating on her. Not only that, but apparently the jackass accidentally let it slip that it was more than a one time thing. Dumbass. He does his best to convince her its still she he loves, but she’s buying any of that bull. So she dumps him. Before they part ways, she’s casually mentions that he wasn’t the only guy interested in her. Unfortunately, all her friends are all his friends. She needed to prove to him, to them all, that she can move beyond this. After seeing Colt and Gregory argue, she decides then and there exactly how to punish and piss off Gregory. An arrangement is made that changes both, Cheyenne and Colt's lives.

Something happens inside my chest. I’ve been really good at keeping him at arm’s length so far. We’re nothing alike. I think he hates me half the time and we don’t belong together. We’re a means to an end, but with his simple request, I begin to soften inside…
I should leave. Run right now because Colt and I wouldn’t work.

These two clashed from the very beginning. They got on each other’s nerves and fought…a lot. However, for some strange odd reason, they find solace and comfort with each other. They were both reluctant at first, but fate keeps intervening and they find themselves constantly being thrown together.

Cheyenne never thought she would open up to anyone, ever, but when she needs someone, Colt is always there, comforting her. Colt is having a tough time with his ailing mother, but found himself happy when he’s with Cheyenne. No girl has ever made him feel wanted or needed like she did. Together they made sense and together they begin to heal.

Fuck. I LOVED this story. I just fell in love with everything that happened. There were several times I swooned and a couple of times I just outright cried. Such a moving and beautiful story. This is my first Nyrae Dawn book and it will most definitely not be my last. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

Bittersweet Seraphim blog tour with Debra Anastasia, and Giveaway!

Bittersweet Seraphim has been released from Hell.
Satan Jack invites you to come…and indulge yourself in his journey to save the angel he loves. After running Hell for over a thousand years one foul-mouthed Seraph has changed his end game.
Even if it means destroying the universe, Jack refuses to give up on Emma. He didn’t know what love was until Emma’s skin pressed against his, the addiction to any of his other vices paling in comparison. Jack has never been a fearful man, but he gets it now. Fear comes when you have something to lose. Or someone.

Summary:
Suffering is worst when you’re doing it alone. But Emma’s taking Hell like an angel—even though her languishing began with having her seraph wings torn from her back. Now her worst enemy lords his body and his evil desires over her while she tries desperately to remember the words to her favorite prayer

As Devil, Jack used to have Hell and its women humming like well-oiled machines. Too bad he’s nowhere near the place now. Stuck on Earth as a human, he must work with a ragtag team of exiled minions and half-breeds to save the angel who’s become all that matters.

Rescuing a seraph is the plan, but breaking into Hell means letting evil things out. Once they collide, minions and angels converge in the battle of the ages: good versus evil. But which side is which? Will Jack destroy the world as he fights to save Emma, his true and timeless love, from a damnation he designed?
An action-packed sequel to Crushed Seraphim, this tale reveals—time and again—what happens when the heart’s deepest desires break free. With a story both sizzling and sensual, emotional and enigmatic, Debra Anastasia invites readers to join a battle with nothing less than love on the line.

Grace's Review:

Since reading Crushed Seraphim, I've been waiting and waiting for its sequel to find out what happened to Seraph Emma, Satan Jack, and half-breed Jason. Hardcore fans like me were left with a huge cliffhanger! From the creative mind of Debra Anastasia comes Bittersweet Seraphim, a satisfying, worthy sequel that not only ties up loose ends, but is also action-packed, highly emotional, and offers more of that special brand of humor we all loved in the first one.

If you're along for the ride the second time around, you're probably itching for more Satan Jack. Don't be alarmed when he doesn't appear in the story right away. Believe me, there is plenty of Jack and his wicked-sexy mind later on! What isin the beginning is the story of Nero and Jenny. At first I didn't know what to make of them, but as I read along, I grew to care so much for them. It turns out their story becomes integral to the plot.

Bittersweet Seraphim has a lot going on with various story lines swirling about. Jason, Dean, and Seriana, the half-breed siblings from the first book, all have major roles as Jack attempts to rescue Emma, who is stuck in Hell with her archenemy. There are challenges made that turn into fist-pumping brawls as a new ruler of Hell emerges. For Jason fans, you'll be drawn into how his HEA comes about. Jack is as brooding and swoon-worthy as ever, smart-aleck remarks and all. Its already been established in the last book why Jack and Emma belong together. Bittersweet Seraphim is all about these two fighting to be together against all odds in whatever plane of existence.

In my opinion, Ms. Anastasia did a superb job in giving her fans a sequel that is filled with more incredible and funny situations, fascinating sequences, and timeless romance that knows no bounds. For me, this is one of those stories that I fall more in love with the more I think about it long after I'm done reading it. Definitely worthy of 5 stars!

Funny,Funny,Har Har!

Sneaky.......

A man and a woman were having dinner in a fine restaurant. Their waitress, taking another order at a table a few paces away noticed that the man was slowly sliding down his chair and under the table, with the woman acting unconcerned.

The waitress watched as the man slid all the way down his chair and out of sight under the table. Still, the woman dining across from him appeared calm and unruffled, apparently unaware that her dining companion had disappeared.
After the waitress finished taking the order, she came over to the table and said to the woman, "Pardon me, ma'am, but I think your husband just slid under the table." The woman calmly looked up at her and replied firmly, "No he didn't. He just walked in the door."
