One more night…
For almost a year, Madison has been Adam’s hook-up every time his band, Sole Regret, tours through Dallas. But in spite of the way he sets her body ablaze with passion, the occasional night of rock-her-world sex isn’t enough anymore. She needs a commitment and knows that won’t fit into Adam’s rock-star lifestyle. Madison will take one more hot-and-heavy night with the sexy musician before she cuts all ties with him for good. Even if she must break her own heart to do it.
To tempt him…
Life isn’t all bright lights and fan adulation for the lead guitarist for Sole Regret. Madison has seen Adam at his worst and still managed to bring out the best in him. Her cleverly concealed naughty side also brings out the beast in him. He’s never met a more tempting woman in his life.
Madison has no problem tempting Adam into her bed, but can she tempt his heart into taking a chance on love?
Tempt Me is the second novella in Olivia Cunning’s Sole Regret series. This 32,500 word erotic romance novella contains explicit sexual situations, including some rough backdoor lovin’, hair-pulling, spanking, and whole lotta dirty talk.
Ren's Review:
Tempt Me is the second book of One Night With Sole Regret series, which the story is about... one night with Sole Regret of course. Sole Regret is a rock band. With famous and hot to trot rock stars. In the first book,Try Me; Olivia Cunning, is one of my author goddess' who tells the story about Gabriel "Gabe" Banner or Force, a drummer of Sole Regret with his lady love, Melanie. Love blossoms in just one night. Just.One.Night. Are there any conclusion of their relationship in the second book aka this book aka Tempt Me? Nope.Nada.Zero.Zing. That's also the problem with Tempt Me.
I didn't like how she wrote the ending. The problem with Adam's drug habit and his addict father, is not solved in this one. Although this book is still sexy, I also find it not... sexy. Confused? Me too :/. The main characters, Adam Taylor, the main guitarist and Madison Fairbanks, the drug abuse consultant (okay don't know the right term, sorry) is steady couple, have known each other for a year and are always having sex each time they meet. Romantic? Well, maybe that's what Madi thought. Me? I can't do that, but hey, that's Madison's problem. To choose with a rock star.
The first chapter is interesting and Adam has already caught my heart with his adorable feeling towards Madison. I always thought Adam is like Brian Sinclair from The Sinners! Until, I find out about his drug habit. Okay, he's now clean and sober. But there's a chance he will back, even if he works so hard to not become an addict again. For Madison. Uh huh. BUT, he admits that he screwed with another women when he was with Madison, which he finally feels sorry about. Ehm, dude, that's cheating! I don't like cheating in my books. Ever. The other thing that bothers me is,Madison seems to eager to work up Adam. Um,long time no see, make her hot and bothered, but pass border of naughty girl (maybe its harsh if I think she kinda slutty? :/) I'm a little bit disturbed.
What saves this book, besides the romance which is just okay for me, and the sex scenes is still hot hot hot (but becomes a little bit boring with all that talk), is the friendship and bromance between the Sole Regret members. Oh, and the stage performance part! This is why I love Olivia Cunning's books (this and The Sinner). I always love to read how she writes bromance, how each member cares with their own way. For Tempt Me, there's unresolving problem between Adam and their vocalist Shade, which reminds me a lot with Sed from Sinners. And of course, we don't know what exactly the problem is between these two :/.
Final words, do I love this? Umm, I like the first book than this. Do I still want to read the next book,Take Me ? Yeah, bring it on! Hope its get better and... even just one night, please don't make unresolve problem again!
