Seducing Cinderella (#1) By Gina L. Maxwell

Mixed martial arts fighter Reid Andrews’s chance to reclaim his title as light heavyweight champ is shattered when he’s injured only months before the rematch. To make sure he’s healed in time, his trainer sends him to recuperate under a professional’s care—Reid’s best friend’s little sister, all grown up.

Disorganized and bookish Lucie Miller needs some professional help of her own. She’d do anything to catch the eye of a doctor she’s crushed on for years, so when Reid offers seduction lessons in exchange for 24/7 conditioning for the biggest fight of his career, Lucie jumps at the chance.

Soon Reid finds him himself in the fight of his life...winning Lucie's heart before she gives it to someone else.

Grace's Review:

Charming with lots of HEAT!

Lucie Miller thinks she knows exactly the type of man who is compatible with her, and it certainly is not her brother's best friend! MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) fighter, Reid Andrews, needs to heal up quickly for his next fight and strikes a deal with Lucie. She will help heal his injury using her professional physical therapy skills while he teaches her the art of seduction. Lucie jumps at this opportunity if it will help overcome her insecurities to land her crush. As they spend lots of time together, lines start to get crossed, and then who exactly is seducing who?

“Was it possible to physically feel the moment you lost your heart to someone?” --Gina L. Maxwell, Seducing Cinderella

This story offers a modern day twist to the classic tale with slight fairytale elements. Don't get me wrong, it has a everything fans of contemporary romance crave! It's funny, emotional, sexy with the right amount of angst. Lucie sees herself as a plain Jane, and Reid is so charming in making her realize that she really is beautiful inside and out. Their chemistry together is off the charts! Maxwell does not disappoint her readers in that area at all. Reid is definitely a tortured hero to fall in love with. I can't blame Lucie for caressing his muscles and tattoos...Mmmm!

As the author's debut novel, this is really a fantastic start to a new series. A must read for those who love really cute happily ever afters!

Great review! I have this one on my TBR. I have not read a book yet featuring an MMA fighter, so it should be interesting. :)
