REVIEW

Rocky Mountain Haven (6 Pack Ranch, #2)
This is book two in the Rocky Mountain series and written concurrently with book one “Rocky Mountain Heat”.  Book two is the story of middle Coleman son, Daniel and widower and single mother, Beth Danube.
Daniel first met Beth months prior at a bar in town, but was bitterly disappointed when he discovers the phone number she gave him was disconnected. Beth has packed up her three sons and moved them to the small town of Rocky Haven to start a new job and a new life without her deceased abusive husband. However she still can’t forget Daniel Coleman, so imagine her surprise when she finds out she is living in his family’s home.
Daniel couldn’t believe his luck when he saw Beth again, and didn’t even think twice about letting her go again. Daniel was everything that Beth and her sons needed in their lives and as it turns out they were everything that Daniel needed too.
Daniel never had any issues with Beth coming as a package of her, three kids and an abusive past. He is just so happy to have her in his grips that he is prepared to take the time to win her trust from all four of them. Before long, Beth comes around wanting only what Daniel can give her, and although Daniel wants more, he knows that only time will prevail.
These two were just so perfect for one another and honestly this was such a beautiful story. I absolutely loved it.  I’m glad this story was substantially longer than book one. It had alot more depth to the characters and we got to know them all that much better.
This book was alot more serious than book one and dealt with some really serious issues from Beth’s past.  Beth and Daniel had to work together to get over these hurdles and I was so proud of Beth for not letting the past bring her down.
The family setting is not usually my cup of tea, but this was done well and added that little extra something to this book. But not only Beth and her boys, we get little snippets at intimate moments with Coleman Dad and Son and even Beth and her mother. I think it’s very important to have a good relationship with your parents and the author portrayed this well.
I love the bothers, especially the twins.  What is in store for them will be interesting to see. Whenever they are in scene you can guarantee a laugh!
I’m sitting on the edge of my seat waiting for the next release which sadly isn’t until mid 2012. I can however rejoice that the re-release of book 1 and 2 are happening in November 2011 and January 2012 and can confirm that both books are at least 1/3 longer! I can tell you here and now I will be re-reading to get more juicy details on these ranchers.
