Fan-freaking-tabulous! Oh wow, this book was a Kleenex story right to the very end! How original was this! Twists, turns, suspense, heart break and just so unique.
Book two in the MacKinnon rangers focus on Morgan MacKinnon, the middle brother of the three MacKinnon brothers. Morgan had been shot and taken captive by the French who want to torture him for information and then send him off to the Indians to burn him in a most gruesome manner. And while Morgan does his best not to survive his life threatening injuries, what he doesn’t count on is the determination of a wee French lassie, which cares for him during his time at the French Fort.
Ahh, Amalie, beautiful sweet Amalie. Hannah Montanna eat your heart out, this girl is like the best of both worlds. Born to a French father and an Indian Mother, she has the most striking features. Amalie is given the not so terrible task of nursing Major MacKinnon back to health, and although Amalie has ill feeling towards him and what he fights for she cannot help but feel something for this man.
This was not a story where you knew how it was going to turn out. Every other page there was a new twist or turn that had you reeling and wondering what could happen next. This was so nice and refreshing! Sometimes the old same old same old, just gets tiring.
Our hero and Heroine were combustible! It was fantastic! They were so in love with one another, it felt like their love was seeping out of the pages. Just makes me want to weep. It was beautiful. OH! And their love making *sigh*.... their first time together was just breathtaking and unforgettable!
I cannot wait to read Connors book. It’s going to be Epic I can just already.
Pamela, I know I say this in every review but you my friend are a freaking Legend and I bow to your feet, just excuse to dribble. 10/10! Going in the best book ever list.
