No Place to Run - Maya Banks

Oh WOW! I loved this second book in KGI series! It’s taken me so long to get to it and I had so many other choices to read, but I’ll never regret picking this one up!
Our hero is Sam Kelly, eldest of the five Kelly brothers, and Sophie. Sam and Sophie met while Sam was undercover In Mexico. The two had a wild passionate affair that only lasted a few days. But when Sam is called back to his mission he is forced to leave Sophie.
Five months passes when Sam finds Sophie washed up, haggard and pregnant on the shore of his lake screaming warnings that he and his family are in grave danger. But Sam and his family are immediately suspicious of Sophie and start demanding answers, first and foremost – whose baby is she carrying.
The chemistry between the two is still flaring and Sam feels an overwhelming need to protect her and whoever it is that she is running from because no matter what, he still feels like this woman is his.
Fantastic! I loved the concept of this book and everything about it! I loved that in both book one and two, the main characters already knew each other and there was past between them! I love that it kept me on the edge of my chair the entire time I was reading it and when I wasn’t reading it, I couldn’t wait to get back to it.
There is high quality romance in this book and you can feel the steam coming of the pages! These two connected perfectly and complemented each other nicely.
I found it easy to relate to both hero and heroine, which is nice. Usually I find the female lead to be a whiney bitch, but Soph really pulled this one off! She was a kick arse preggers chic.
Cannot wait to read on in this series!

Why is it that I've never read this author? Just another series and author to add to the list.
